there is rumor floating around about hsv and these two shops.
no confirmation from anyone, but if you visit one of these shops use caution until the truth comes out.
the problem is that hsv can infect you but not know it until it is too late. therefore many guys have probably been infected and are now going shop to shop, probably spreading it further.
so everyone keep it covered or stay away from these assembly line type shops that see hundreds of guys per day.
one girl can see 20 or more guys per day, unless they have some limit rule which i don't know.

be safe all.

Oi... lol. This really could be a huge mess if it is true. Regardless of how it happened, they'll blame a foreigner. A massive outbreak and bad rumors could really hurt business.

I realize this is old news - but what is the reputation of these places for STDs - I assume you take your risks when you go in, but they are so busy either people don't care or they are kept clean... Anyone care to enlighten me? Thanks.

It's really hit and miss. It goes in cycles, one girl gets infected and it spreads like wildfire until everyone gets treated.

The real Japanese shops usually require STD/HIV tests and in some cases, drug testing. This isn't always the case as we have seen. Your best bet is to avoid BB service in any fashion and make sure you clean yourself good. The more expensive the shop doesn't always equate with less risk. Use common sense and be safe, there's no way to tell if someone is clean or not just by meeting and talking to them.

I don't think this is true. I've been on good terms with a number of Japanese girls who worked in the sex industry here and they all said their shops told them to get tested, but the shop neither paid for the testing, nor checked the test results.

I think that it would be more correct to say that not all shops require it but we've found the majority do. Our most recent contact in the delivery and hotel health services has to report her results to the shop once per month. I don't think the shop pays for it though. A typical clinic will issue two result forms, one for HIV and one for the basic panel of STD tests. Both of these have to be shown to continue working.

I'm 100% sure the situation varies from shop to shop.

End result is still the same: Protect yourself and do NOT assume anything!

Time for some reality here folks. "Testing", if one is naive enough to assume it's done as often as claimed (or even at all), guarantees nothing.

Bear in mind that some STDs have an incubation period of days, weeks, or even months before they are detected in tests.

Secondly, no matter how frequently she's tested, odds are that there have been many customers with that girl between the last time she was tested, and her next test. The customer immediately preceding you, or several customers ago, could've burned her after her last test, but before you partook of her favors.

While claims of regular testing MAY indicate a higher standard of practice, you can't assume that it's actually being done, or know the thoroughness and quality of it.

Bottomline: One shouldn't allow "testing" to cloud the reality that if you're participating in the sex trade BB, you are indeed rolling the dice on STDs.

Herpes can be spread via infected saliva rolling down to the base of the condom. If you're not stock standard... better hope she doesn't deep throat, eh.

That's a rare case, but, yeah, STDs are an issue. Just got to keep as safe as you can.
