One thing I do miss after 12 years in the states is a good burger, medium rare with cheese and bacon.

Any recommendations?

Live in Mita, adjacent to Azabujuban, walking distance to Roppongi.

Thanks... :)

P.S. Have vowed to stay away from McDonalds, etc. while here, too much other good food at hand, but a good burger is hard to beat once in a while.

Just my 2 yen- but Homeworks burgers are just ok. I guess i agree: not bad. There is a full size homeworks in Roppongi I think.
I've been to BurgerMania in Hiroo- not bad also.

They tout great burgers here... The burger is ok usually - But I think the buns here are just not the same quality/consistency of the US versions. They can't handle the heat/fat/size (just like J Girls and gaijin.... Get it??)

I like West Park Cafe's burgers. Also try Blacows in Ebisu if you're willing to go a bit farther out of the way.

Does anyone here know FIVE GUYS from the states? Those are some damn fine burgers! Almost 5am here and now I'm craving one.

Thanks for the feedback, I will give these places a try and let you know how it goes. Don't mind traveling a bit if necessary. Cheers. SN.

I like WPC's burgers too, definitely comes to mind when thinking of Tokyo's top burger's. Never tried Blacows (hmmm...Black Cows?), I'll have to make my way to Ebisu soon, sounds tasty...

One plus of WPC is they have a variety of other items, in case if you are in a group and not everyone wants a burger.

A place in Omotesando/Harajuku called Fellows makes one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life .... seriously.

The Great burget in Omotesando is the best, Burger Mania/Brozers/Authentic good as well

Eliah,

That's the place. Friggin awesome burgers. I have tried most of the other popular places in Tokyo as well. As for me, any burger is a good burger --- but a Fellows burger is something special.

A bit of a drive from Tokyo but there is a place in Sagimaihara called OMG burgers that is really good. They have American burgers, fries, homemade chili, ice cream floats and banana splits. The owner is an American.

The Great Burger is quite good. My favorite so far has been Martini Burger in Kagurazaka. It's a bit far, but worth checking out. The owner is American. This place has had the best beef of all the places I've been to in Tokyo. The cheesecake is good too.

Convenient for me, thanks!

Tokyo needs In-N-Out Burger. Really, the whole planet needs In-Out-Burger. They did an event in Singapore back in July. Why not here? People would flip the fuck out. At the very least I would.

It's a bit far from Roppongi, but Firehouse is my favorite burger spot in Tokyo, and I have tried many. It is near Tokyo Dome, and I have always though it was worth trip...

Firehouse definitely rules the Tokyo burger scene, imo too. The burgers themselves are all an American/Californian burger-lover could wish for, but a lot of the other things on the menu are also both excellent quality and balm for a homesick stomach! Their chili, for example. Even the atmosphere is informal, laid-back California style.

Finally got a chance to try Fellows in Omotesando. Definitely worth a try, good burgers. Small joint, sat at the little window stools halfway up the stairs, but was by myself so didn't really mind. Thanks for the recommendation. SN.
