Kanpo (漢方) in Gotanda

I've learned loads from this forum, so time to give back with a review of a place I stumbled across in Gotanda.

Found myself around the East Exit of Gotanda Station a little before midnight on a weeknight, after a long day of work and too many drinks with coworkers. I was going to try Yume Tenkoku (夢天国) as reviewed here. The sign was there, but not lit, so I decided to wonder around. Near the intersection with the Central Inn a girl with a thick Chinese accent walked over and told me about her place. She said it was only 10,000 JPY and "saigo made" (to the end). Intrigued, I followed her. She led me through an unmarked door to the right of Taiheizan Sagagura (太平山酒蔵‎). No sign, nothing. Had I been sober, I might have been worried. But I was tired enough that I would have been happy with a massage and a nap.

We went up to the 3F. The door was wide open and a friendly tencho greeted me. He had photos of 6-7 beauties spread out on the counter. I picked one, handed over 10,000 yen, and he led me to a small waiting area and said it would be about 10 minutes. The service menu only listed "A Course", "B Course", etc with prices, but no times. Kanpo (漢方) or "Chinese medicine" was written on there, so I was starting to think I was only getting some strange Chinese Medicinal Treatment. Five minutes after I sat down, a salaryman can in and sat across from me. Five minutes after that, 3 more guys came in. I heard another guy out chatting with the tencho. Popular place.

Finally the tencho came over and took me down a narrow hallway. Lots of little rooms, each with a curtain instead of a door. He motioned me into one and a young and perky Chinese girl gave me a warm welcome. Not quite what I recall from the photo, but no complaints. The futon took up most of the room, but everything was well lit, clean, with no funky smells. As soon as the curtain closed, she jumped up, dropped her robe, with nothing on but her panties, and said it was time for a shower. She helped me with my clothes, wrapped herself, then me in a towel, and we headed down the hallway to one of the shower rooms. Just enough time for her to soap up my privates, rinse off the rest, and hand me a gargle cup. There were at least 2 shower rooms and the girls were shouting in Chinese to reserve them. Had to go back to the room to dry off.

Right away, she got naked and pulled me down to the futon. Great play time. Kissed her all over while she sighed and gave little moans. Went down on her and she really came alive. Only restriction was that she said I couldn't use my fingers down there, even if I kept them on the outside. Don't know if that was a shop rule, or maybe she was a little sore from a hard day. After her first climax we swapped places and she gave me BBBJ, but beer and lack of sleep kept the little guy from rising to the occasion. Then she said we only had 5 minutes left. Confused, I asked if 10,000 yen was only for 30 minutes. She said yes, so I paid another 10,000 yen to extend for another 30 minutes.

We swapped again and after her second climax she pulled me up. "Ecchi shitai! Irette hoshi!" (I want to do it! Put it in!). Fortunately, her cumming had brought me to attention, so she slipped a condom on and we went at it. She was flexible, vocal, and certainly seemed to be having a good time. After we finished, she gave me some chilled tea while I caught my breath. Then back to the showers, and a little more small talk in the room. She gave me the shop's card and that's when I realized the name was kanpo (Chinese Medicine).

We were a little over time and I heard the tencho yell her name once, but he was all smiles when I was leaving.

I spoke Japanese the whole time, so no idea if the tencho or any of the girls can speak English. I could have picked any of them, so it seems like the place and all the girls are gaijin-friendly, but basic communication skills in Japanese are probably necessary. The girl said the place had been around for quite a while, but they have no website and no signs on the street, so business must come from regulars and whoever the girls outside can bring in. She was surprised when I said it was my first time there.

30 minutes (A Course?) is definitely too short for me. The B Course was 15,000 yen, so I hope that is for 1 hour. If so, still a great deal for FS. I definitely plan to head back on my next outing.

Has anybody else tried this place in Gotanda?
I stumbled across it too. A Chinese or Korean lady tout approached me offering "sex?" to which I replied OK, where? I totally expected to be ripped off, and get some old hag for 10,000 the quoted price. However, what I got and the other
Asian ladies I saw, were very, very pretty IMHO. I can confirm I went to the same place as Blueman11 as the business card I got from the place has the exact same address and phone number. There is no sign. So you need a tout to take you there the first time. It is a non-descript doorway leading up to the second floor of a building that is next to the Hotel Sun Route.

I had, had a beer, and was feeling good. Didn`t really want to go to Raku in Gotanda yet again (though I like Raku overall), was hoping for some younger women and this tout approached me. I went up, and was shown about 7 very beautiful women`s pictures.
I thought yah right, I`ve fallen for this one before. This is the before picture. But no, after a weight of about 15 minutes I was greeted by a very pretty, young Chinese lady of between 24-28 years old, and she led me to a very small cubicle with a
futon. It was clean enough. We undressed, and she took me to the shower where she washed little Bob.

She was beautiful everywhere. I had no complaints. Natural fairly large breasts, beautiful big brown almond eyes, flat tummy which I love. Nice legs. I was happy to oblige and bang her. Sweet lady too. Great attitude. Of course I was an easy
customer as I couldn`t believe my luck. (After some of the rotten experiences I have had at Mermaid Soapland in Yokohama) this was heaven.

I really want to go back again but they told me that they had been told by the police to open later at night. They open from 10PM. They had been opening at 8PM but the police hassled them. As I live far away, 10PM is tough for me, it has to be wham, bam
thank you Mamasan and out the door. (I have to catch the train out of Tokyo or spend the night).

I don`t think anyone there speaks English, but I would imagine that they would still allow you in if you cannot speak much Japanese. But I am not sure of that. They seemed gaijin positive and it is a Chinese run place.

The tout told me that they had girls from different Asian countries, but the lady I had (whose name I can`t remember - Risa? Maybe?) was Chinese. I saw another lady walking down the hallway and she was equally as pretty.

I hope this place lasts for a while and that I can last for a while there too! During the daytime it is closed. I checked.

...since there is a capsule hotel right next door, spending the night might actually be a feasible option for you.

Since I live very close and seem to have been dumped by my keijban girlfriend, I might check this out for some relief. However, I hate to be rushed. Do you remember how much time you got for the 10,000?

For 10,000 I think it was 30-45 minutes, the first poster of this thread said that the B course is 15,000 and probably one hour, but he wasn`t sure about it. Capsule hotel, hmmm, there`s an option. I spent the night at the Hotel Sun Route once. Nice hotel and reasonable but not cheap. I think I paid 9K for the night.

Not a review, more a reconnaissance report. I mentioned before that are touts in Gotanda close to the Citibank ATM, a little bit outside the redlight area. Today, I followed one of them up to their shop; she said it is OK to just look at the pictures. It is up on the 7th floor, the name is "Relaxation Mame Ido". Tencho is young and friendy. Showed me pictures of 6 girls, all of them stunning. He assured me the pictures are real. Girls are from Taiwan, Korea, and China. The shop has the usual layout with small booths with curtains and the shared shower. Prices are 1 man for 40 minutes, 15,000 for an hour, 20,000 for 90 minutes. Program is BBBJ, CFS, and massaji. (He was clear about the CFS -- sorry, bareboning community.) In the event, I declined, because this whole concept of little adjacent fuck booths just does not appeal to me... I probably go for it with beer goggles, but I was sober. But as these Chinese FS places go, it seemed alright.

Funny thing is when I got out of the elevator, *another* tout wanted to drag me right back in. It turns out there is a yet another shop exactly like this right on top of this one. The tout insisted that "our" girls are all Korean and much more beautiful than those Chinese down there. Well, I take her word for it. She also said 1 man for 40 mins and FS, so I assume the time schedule and layout is the same.

Can you at least give some directions to the shop(s) as you mentioned it was a Not a review, more a reconnaissance report. Thanks.

Sure, it is impossible to miss. As I said, next to Citibank ATM machine. There is only one. Or next to the Tipness gym, if that is more familiar. Get out of Gotanda station, go to the Remy department store, and start walking towards Shinagawa. About 100 m down the road, there is a crossing (and the ATM machine). The Gotanda redlight district is on your left, Tipness on your right. The touts hang out around that crossing and will talk to you if you look at them. The building is the one next to the Ramen shop. Mame Ido is on the 7th floor, the Korean health is on the 8th floor. Depending on which tout you talk to, they want to take you to different floors :)

The touts only come out at night?

Went to Kampo again on Saturday and had a very attractive young lady who was about 170cm tall. Sorry can`t recall her name. I need to be better at noting things like that. It is true what has been said that this is a place for a quick bang with a young pretty Chinese lady.
I don`t mind that. For 10K it was a lot of fun. There is room for a place like this on my menu as I don`t have as much money to spend as some of the guys at this forum. Occasionally I will splurge for someone like Kitty or AM.. Yes AM is splurging for me.
I want to try the Korean place on the second floor sometime. I saw a stunner walk in there, but they appeared to be closed.

OH and I was told the first time I went there that they opened at 10PM. But they now open at 8PM everyday. So that is more convenient for me.

Went to Kampo again recently after 8PM and was told they were closed. A tout said they would open in about 45 minutes but I didn`t want to wait that long so went to Raku. Their opening times are not consistent to bare that in mind if you choose to try this place.

Tried to find this place tonight. I think the ramen shop has closed down and is being replaced by something else.

If you hang out there after 8PM a tout will usually approach you and take you there. The touts here seem reasonable. I would not advise going with one in Kabukicho, but the Gotanda ones seem safer. Correct me if I am wrong (if you have had a bad experience anyone).

Forgive me for being dense and of course places look very different at night but we are talking about the place in the first post and its street view.
Am I right in thinking there are several establishments offering non Japanese on different floors?

Oh, you are talking about the place mentioned in the first post! It is in the building next to the hotel, which is small and nondescript. Problem is in that location there are so many different places and different touts, the one you talk to might take you somewhere else. So ask to confirm that she is talking about this place.

What we need is some kind soul to organise a walking tour of this area!

I don`t know, but I don`t think they do. Also, that last time I went, it wasn`t open and it seemed it wasn`t going to open that night. I haven`t been back to try again. Not sure if Kanpo is still operating or not?
Anyone been recently?

Has anyone been to Kanpo recently? Is it still open? If so what time does it open these days? Also, are non-Japanese allowed in the Korean place on the second floor of the same building?

I work about five minutes from these places. When I work late - not very often - I need a tennis racket to bat the touts off around the Citibank area. Being to close too 'home' I have avoided them but this has peaked my interest, and my 'interest' needs some peaking. Anyone want to sponsor me for a not-so-dry run?

R.O.B. I`m just glad you said bat the touts off instead of beat them off! LOL If the touts are wanting to take you to the little door almost next to the Hotel Sun Route that would be Kanpo. I doubt anyone will sponsor you for a
"not-so-dry-run," LOL but you could TOFTT if you are so inclined. Last pun not intended!

Thanks Zaphod222. Do you know if these two places are still on business? I've got a late meeting some time this week around that area and definitely like to give it a try. I am a bit tired of Health Delivery Services. Would want to try something more....exciting!!!. Thanks again.
