Hi,
I'm shortly due in Japan- Tokyo and Kyoto.
I heard that Kyoto in particular can be quite rainy and cold in November. Is this the case?
Any advice welcome :) xx

Weather is unpredictable, but this year we seem to be hit by an endless string of typhoons, so preparing for some rain would be sensible.

Bring one cloth that is both water protected and keeps you warm. If you do not find it or find it hassle to carry, bring money and buy from UNIQLO. It will cost you around 7000 yen to buy both waterproof (and warm at the same time) clothes, given that there is a discount going on.

I think you didn't need a warm and waterproof clothes if you have a man to bring you umbrella and makes you warm with his jacket;)

"Wellies" are actually rubber boots, no? The Japanese have actually turned that into another fashion item, the women here wear all sorts of stylish colored rubber boots that are a fashion item just as much as utalitarian. You might want to pick up some local wellies here.

Yes, wellington boots. I will bring a warm waterproof jacket to travel in and pick some wellies up in Japan or a kind man to shield me from cold and rain as T-Rex suggested.

Any excuse to shop

Thanks for the replies everyone xx
