Hello all!,

So I am prepping for my next trip short Tokyo trip. It has been at least 7+ years. I am not asian and my Japanese is too rusty.

Phone:
1. Any recommendations for getting a sim card? I have only seen some for data that were alright. My phone is fine for Tokyo. Otherwise I might rent a ghetto phone again.

P4P advice:
Any type of place or delivery and a preference for Japanese but open to Korean or Chinese. I have seen the Korean sites listed on here recently.

1. Any kyonyuu places that are friendly? Looking for extra big but not too chubby. Natural is nice but I am also a fan of overly enhanced. (I saw cutie-bomb and one other place in the same local on here but any more would be cool.)

2. Looking for a wife kind of place as well. To find someone in their 30s.

Keijiban:

1. Any advice for places I can hit from overseas to set something up? Happymail I can't call from here to start service. Bakusai I couldn't figure out the correct section. I used to hang out on mixi ages ago so I can do the online thing.

Nanpa:
1. Any bars/areas where OLs or older women might head to unwind? My Nanpa is ok but it has been too long.

Thanks tons! I will continue reading up here on the forums.

I'll answer the phone one, the rest you can find out most of the current information by searching around the forum.

When you arrive at Narita (I assume Narita) there are a bunch of shops right at the exit after customs that have a whole slew of options available for mobile devices. I strongly recommend you go with one of those options. It will be difficult and likely more expensive to get something after you leave Narita.

Thanks for the info!

I think I am going with Softbank for a phone or sim card.

Does that work for American IPhones?

My guess is that the phone would need to be unlocked in order to use those services. If its a sim-free model, then it should be no problem.

I actually carry a sim-free version of a Galaxy for this purpose which works well when traveling.
