Your appearance doesn't matter (although not being Japanese hurts you). Some massage parlors are completely legit, although many offer a happy ending at the very least. I certainly wouldn't assume that all massage parlors are fronts for sexual services if I were you.

General rule of thumb is if the board looks like they're advertising attractive girls more than they are advertising massage skills, you might be in luck.
