Massage- Shimbashi/Toranomon

Details of the Encounter:
I had a series of appointments that left me with a couple of hours to kill in the Shimbashi area, so decided that it was high time I paid a visit to Ai - after all, @MikeH and @bichan2 always sing the praises of her massage skills over her (according to them) impressive HE skills. Was disappointed to see her website suddenly offline, but turns out to be some kind of hosting issue, she's still open for business. For now, all necessary information is also available on her FB page.

Now, you wouldn't know it to look at me, but I'm a bit of a gym rat. I figured I would put Ai to the test, and made this morning ultra leg day... Hit the gym at 05:00 and did deadlifts and squats and calf raises until the bar wouldn't move - and then I skipped the rollers. By the time 11:00 rolled around, stiffness was setting in big time and I could barely walk.

Ai was a little sleepy as apparently one of her regulars had popped around at 3:00 in the morning and kept her up until 5:00, but she was still cheerful and friendly. She set up the heaters to get things warmed up, payment was exchanged, and off to the races we went.

It took a little explaining that I had worked my legs over hard, as her Japanese isn't that strong, but once we got the point settled, she went to work. Now, Ai is a tiny little thing, but hot damn, she is STRONG. I have a high pain tolerance, and once she ascertained that I could take it, she was putting on pressure that had me gritting my teeth. She kept checking to make sure I was still OK, and was reassured when I told her if it hurt too much I'd let her know - then she really went in with a vengeance. Seriously painful, but in all the right ways. She's perfectly capable of delivering a soft relaxing massage, which is what she started with, but she hit me with a serious sports massage once she figured out that's what I needed and wanted. And it was good, better than I've had at physiotherapist's offices.

After an hour and a bit of that - and I'm seriously impressed at her stamina to be able to keep applying serious pressure like that for that long without a break - she had me flip over, and then went right back to the same treatment on my quads. After about 20 minutes of that, she started noting that Junior was getting genki, and oiled him up for some action - time was running a bit short, so she gave me a mischievous grin and applied some slippery grip techniques that had me spouting like a volcano in probably under a minute... and I'm not normally one that gets off easily from a handjob.

HE aside.... I took a gamble on the leg day thing today, and it paid off. I'm back in my office now, walking normally, with zero muscle pain. I wish I could afford the time to visit Ai after every gym day. There are studies that claim to have refuted the benefits of massage after exercise. They clearly haven't met Ai.

Final Thoughts:
Recommended, Will Repeat.

Closing Comments:
Like others have said before me, I would honestly go for just the massage. The HE is just icing on the cake.

I’m so happy that you finally got to meet Ai. She does hit all the right spots in a very timely and efficient manner.

And once she knows you can take it, she'll hit them as hard as you want too! I'm surprised there's no bruises....

Thanks for the intro!

Exactly this; she is way better than any massage place or physiotherapist I have visited in Japan. And I have visited plenty.

Happy to hear we have one more regular customer for her from now on!

I don't get over that side of town as often as I'd like, but I'll be dropping in when I get the chance, for sure!

Wait, so how do I make an appointment with her? With all these reviews I'm so tempted to go just for the massage. I've been getting stiff neck for the last couple weeks and heading to Japan soon, would love to get it sorted at the start of the trip so I can enjoy my time there

Walk-ins are very common but you can use both email or phone to reserve a time in advance.

@kozak001 Let me know of a date and time and I can let Ai know you want an appointment. But if you make the appointment please keep it.

As for now, I'm not sure yet. I don't have a specific date and time since I'm not in Tokyo yet. Am I correct to assume the facebook page can be followed in terms of directions

Looking forward to visit this fine establishment on my next trip to Tokyo, thanks to all the reviews on TAG. I’m really keen to get some serious sports massage, such as the service described here.
