Having browsed this site for some days, I decided to finally giva a Tokyo Soapland a try.
My choice was Darling Harbor, having read quite a few favourable reviews.

Once I got to Minowa station I followed the walking instructions found here.
Yet when I finally reached the address indicated, I was unable to locate Darling Harbor - even with a picture of the front entrance I found online.
Was the address wrong or is the name just indicated in Japanese?
Anyhow... after circling the area a few times it was either leave or find an alternative.
Across the street I read "Landmark" and remembered high cost and AV actresses...
I was game and I wanted to try my luck - with a rather mixed outcome.

The guy at the front door asked me to enter (very limited English).
He brought me to a waiting room then showed me one (1!) picture. I wanted a B cup, so he brought another girl's picture which was more to my liking.
Then he quoted JPY 70k for two hours!!!
Although I was expecting a rather high price, I explained to him that that was way too much and that I, furthermore, didn't want to spend two hours anyway...
So he went to 60k, then 50k for 100 minutes.
As I didn't carry that much cash, I asked for card payment (yeah, I know... Probably not the smartest move - but most of my blood had already left my brain for the nether regions...).
He said "No problemo".
Then another guy comes in with a suitcase containing the CC reader.
On a calculator he types the 50k then starts adding 20 % for CC commission!!!
When I said that 50k was all I was willing to pay, he left and returned with the first guy.
That one starts babbling about the increased VAT and stuff...
I declined politely to pay more than 50k and inquired where I could pay for my Oolong-cha in order to be on my way...
Suddenly, the guy starts on his calculator: 40k plus 8k... 48k...
I didn't quite follow his logic but wtf!

When the girl came to pick me up, well... The picture might have been hers, taken 5+ years ago...
The picture read 24, she wouldn't tell but I guess mid-thirties from the way her B cup and stomach looked (See link above).
Nice face, long hair, red dress with matching high heels and lingerie - very classy - tight ass and great-looking shaved pussy (which was a nice
surprise upstairs in her room).

There she started undressing and rubbing me.
After asking me to lay on my back, she started with her routine: BJ.
Before I could intervene (No BBBJ!), the rubber was already on and she was on her way...
She had some great tongue-twister which really got me going.
Once she got on top of me 69 style and pushed her ass in my face - revealing her bald crotch - we both got started...
There was a lot of moaning with BJ and HJ always keeping her beautiful pussy in my sight.
When she started riding me, she had this quite incredible suction technique which was a first for me and very enjoyable.
Despite all her efforts (which were not bad but according to some fellow mongers' review could have been more agressive) I had to take matters in my own hands in order to finish round one (I thought she got close, yet she didn't quite have the stamina to keep up the speed I needed...).
Then came drink & talk.
Mari-san spoke mainly Japanese with a few English bits for support. She said she's from Gifu and since I have been there once some years ago we stayed on that topic.
Suddenly she started complaining about back pain and I offered a massage...
Instead of accepting that kind of massage, she laid down and pointed at her clit in need of a massage.
Trying to keep "the customer" happy, I complied and started feeling her up. To my surprise - despite more rather fake moaning - she got really wet and started rubbing me again.
Then - after applying the second condome - we were off for round two - alas w/o happy ending.
Next was cleaning and bath.
And then finally the air mattress I read so many exciting stories about...
I have to admit that it was a rather exotic experience, but I guess I was a bit overwhelmed by all this slipping around so getting a hard-on was quite difficult. Recently I discovered the advantages of lubricants, yet that was just too much!
Mari-san tried rubbing but to no avail.
Unlike other girls - so I read - she did not slide over my member with her pussy.
In the end - with only five minutes left - we had to call it a day, Mari-san: 1, me: 1

Conclusion
Having spent the equivalent of two years' pay in some developing country on time with a woman, I must admit that at least there was plenty - or at least more than regular - of it.
As I usually need some time to get aroused and possibly even finish, the beginning was promising.
I now understand the fascination most of you have for Soapland activities. I, however, must admit that I am not hooked and that I will rather return to Asian Feeling in Kabuki-cho where the girls take their time too, I don't need to help with the happy ending and can add four rounds (if I want and can) to reach the same bill...

Recommendation: I guess you can be ripped off for less at other places, so I would not recommend Landmark given my first Soapland experience.

PS: At least I was offered a free ride back to the train station; with my sense of direction I might have got lost (or found Darling Harbor instead!)

Thanks, where did you get the 50 minutes from?
The 48k paid for 100 minutes.
Whilst I am obviously not completely happy with the value for money, 50 minutes with that pricetag should have delivered a life-altering experience for it not to be a complete rip-off!

I wouldn't have minded such an experience even with a 48/100 ratio, yet then I might have got hooked and that would probably be worse...

You're probably planning your next Soapland venture and thus blood is flowing downstairs, draining the brain - I know the feeling...

Landmark is in the same street as Darling Harbor.

Thanks for the link.
Then I guess the address I got/used was wrong, as I never even got close to Darling Harbor.
Well, never mind. They will have to make do with somebody else's business...

PS: If they're gaikokujin-friendly it's rather odd that their name - as opposed to many others I have passed by - is written in Katakana only, isn't it?

There are plenty soaplands with English names and they wouldn't even let you in the door, so not really. They are as friendly as you can expect to get at a soapland, last time I was there they even brought out an English paper with questions and asked me to point to the answers, even though my Japanese was fairly good. This forum was even mentioned on it.

Edit: Also Blue Lagoon is run by the same people and afaik is also foreigner friendly. http://www.b-lagoon.com/

On the site the price is 28k for 120mn. Why did they ask for 70k.

Where did you get the 28k from?
Although I can cannot read Japanese, I assume that the 10k/67k mentioned under (1) for two hours are what I was offered first (see http://www.l-mark.com/sp/main.html).
With hindsight, the guy might have quoted 77k - instead of the 70k that I have written in my original post - yet it being so outrageously expensive (even w/o knowing what I would be getting), I must have blacked out for a moment and thus only remembered the first "7"... ;-)
To me that explanation makes perfect sense (referring back to the initial question).

In any case, having read some reviews about Landmark I knew that they were going to charge massively, hence the 28k - even if mentioned somewhere - could only be the entrance fee.
