I don't know about the rest of you, but so often mongering is such a weird pursuit. Often I leave these experiences feeling physically relieved but not terribly good. I felt very different after my time at NYNY.
I did not have any kind of device or map to guide me, I was basically wandering around looking for it after remember which station it was. The neighborhood is really interesting, and there's a lot of crazy stuff going on up there. And touts ... all day long. I was there on a Sunday afternoon, and was approached almost immediately after getting out of the station by a man making a jerk-off motion and saying "6,000 yen, come on!" Throughout the area I was approached by multiple touts hoping to bring me into their places. They mostly look like rub and tug places, but I could easily be wrong. And I was very surprised, being a western-looking foreigner, that I was approached so frequently.
Eventually, after wandering around for a half hour - which was fun, really - I found NYNY. When I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the gentleman. I speak some Japanese, but he showed me a menu which described what happens. I paid the man in the cage ¥4,800, and was shown into a waiting room. After a few minutes, I was retrieved and introduced to Chika, who guided me up two flights of stairs to the room we used.
Each room has a small window. I noticed while I was in the room, when I stood looking out the door I could see into another room slightly, and saw quite a lovely naked Japanese woman only. Nice.
Chika is not young, but as mentioned, I like that. She has a great body, and she smiled throughout our time together. We had a couple of miscommunications, but nothing too weird or awkward. She really put me at ease, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, and she was just really, really easy to be with. One thing I especially appreciated: I use hearing aids, and she was very considerate after I took them out to speak so that I could hear her. Often, I encounter people who think I can't understand their Japanese when what it is is that I can't actually hear what they're saying. She was super sensitive and attentive to this particular problem, and to me, that really made her just a wonderful provider. I felt like it was what you read about, the old-school solicitous service of the geishas and all. That, for me, was just really great.
I was invited to undress, while she topped off a bath and she undressed as well. She sat me down on a small stool and washed my unit and behind, paying extra attention to the equipment. The tub is large enough for one person only, so I sat in it and she washed herself off using the shower sprayer. We brushed our teeth, and I was invited to step out of the bath. Interestingly, there is a sauna chamber which looks like a sort-of smallish iron maiden. I didn't try it, though; I was already sweaty from the walking around in the humidity, and was grateful to be in the tub.
