It looks like DonJuan.jp is around the corner from my hotel, but I'm having trouble understanding the hours on their price structure, also what's the 20,000 yen on the left side of the price area. Thanks!

The top part that says 0 yen is essentially saying there's no charge to make a reservation or pick a girl by phone/internet/in person. Often if you say "I want so-and-so" instead of taking the girl they give you, places will tack on a 2000 yen charge. So they are saying there's no charge for that.

The 20,000 yen on the left is the entry fee. Entry fees are pretty standard at soaplands- I'm not sure if the split is that the company gets the entry fee and the rest of the charge goes to the girl, or what, but you have your entry fee and then the other charges.

The other charges are time of day-based. From open till 7:50am, it's 40K. from 8am till 11:50am, it's 55K, and from noon till close, it's 65K.

So if you went at 3 in the afternoon, total charge would be 85,000 yen (steep!).

Please write up a report regardless of if you get in or not. Gaijin-friendly soaplands outside of Yoshiwara are practically nonexistent.

Thanks for the quick reply. Way too expensive; I guess I'll have to check out Yoshiwara.

In terms of pricing, someone correct me if I'm wrong -- I don't know if the 20,000 entry charge is included in the total 65K price or not, but when they are separate like that, I think they are separate charges...

Usually I would say you are correct, but in this case DonJuan specifically says that their total price (総額) is 40,000 or 55,000 or 65,000 yen, depending upon what time you arrive at the shop. See their よくある質問 / FAQ page.

Still a bit expensive for only 100 minutes, but they do call themselves "luxury class", whatever that means!

Thanks for the clarification- 60K minimum seemed way too expensive, and my Kanji could use quite a bit of work. :p

Do anyone knws what means "late"? i mean, in many places they show announcement about the time operation of teh local. usually they start around 11 am and they indicated they finish at "LAST". What time is last? i have no clue man!

Ohhh! i am so glad, i became senior member just some minutes before. i was really looking for that, i am so happy! I think is good time to thank all the staff of this nice site, and all the community friends reading and sharing experience to help others. Thank you all of you guys, you all are the best!

"Last" I'm pretty sure means "last order", and not "last train" (what I originally thought it meant). There's some shops that work under official fuzoku licensing that are required to close by midnight, if I remember correctly (these would be soaplands, pink salons, etc). There's many others like delivery health that because they don't have an 'office' can keep serving up ladies until late into the night. I think the girls working until 'last' there work until 5am.

Thank you Meiji-san, i have been always curious about that enigmatic "last". 5 am sounds good. I observed that many soaplands close around 23:30 or 24:00. Very sad, and that time it is nice to get "some action". Maybe the culture of catching the last train is responsible of that close times... Come on , the taxi exists!

Some of it is that. I think it has to do with the fuzoku law, not the train schedules. Certain types of establishments like soaplands and hostess bars are required to close by midnight. The "girl bar" innovation, where the girl serves you from behind a counter or a railing was done specifically to get around the fuzoku law so they could stay open past midnight. They haven't figured out how to do that in a soapland. :)

If you are curious about Don Juan, it is a very nice, super classy place with really friendly staff!
The sign is hard to spot, and it does NOT have a sign which says 'Soapland' - just 'Club'
Inside is super new and super clean.
However, they don't speak English.
As a foreigner, only 2 or 3 girls will soap you IF you speak Japanese. Usually there is only 1 girl who will take 'zero japanese' customers.

Foreigners only have access to the 2 or 3 'gaijin ok' girls. The only course which foreigners can take is 2 hours - 85,000 yen.

85,000 yen ??? Damn, that is near rent money and more than some people's monthly rent. Who is paying that for some love?

For the same amount of money, you could fly to Korea and back. Rent a hotel for 2 days and buy 3 different women.

Hahaha. I know your feeling. But think of cortisans in our countries.
Actually Japan is an erotic paradise for men. There are various escorts and night entertainments.
Let's see categories of sexual business; soapland, health, delivery health, erotic massage, SM, M-seikan, fetish, imeclub, am I right?
And cheap cheap health or pink salon cost less than 10,000. I even heard of 5,000 service. Never expect anything lol Close your eyes and cum quickly!
And AV stars escorts or cortisans like super premium soaplands are 80,000-100,000.
I also heard more! expensive escorts where models or actresses are working. But that place is limited for VIP Japanese like politicians or business owners because the price is 5-10 times of my rent! :nailbiting:

Well I don't know how it fairs compared to other countries, but in New Zealand the cost is about half that. Even with the most elite delivery health I haven't seen it exceed 25,000 yen.
So in that regard I was actually thinking while Japan has a much greater variety, the cost is higher too.

That being said I'm very tempted to try this(DonJuan) place out assuming I can even get in as I have very basic Japanese.

85,000¥?! Holy crap. For that kind of money, you could get and overnight and cosplay with an AM girl.

I don't care how much money you have. For a foreigner, this is at very poor value.
