Hello!

So, I have been reading various threads here... but I was too shy to make an account and finally went for it!

I've been in Japan for a month or so. And through this forum I decided to give it a go to Universe Club.

They requested general information through email and two photos.

I read in here that the procedure indicates to first have an interview and after that your photos for your portfolio are taken if you pass the interview. However, their reply to me was sending an address, and telling to please be dressed as for a luxury dinner since they'll take my photos.

Did they skip the interview? Is this normal?

This is my first time doing this, so I'm a bit nervous.

Also! Thank you very much. Ahhh

No need to be shy....

That sounds like the interview, it’s been awhile since I’ve spoken to anyone about the UC process, but this very well could be it...

So, how would you dress for a luxury dinner? :)

I'm surprised... I didn't think I'd pass.

Does anyone have any tips for the interview?
I'd like to do good!

I’ve only heard about Universe Club but as long as you present yourself as a high end companion things should be okay:
- Wear a nice dress or two piece with skirt & heels (Imagine you’re going to dinner with your client.) Make sure you look presentable, your clothes are properly ironed and clean and your nails are manicured. I don’t know about this particular place, so I just want to note some “managers” might want to see a glamorous sexy look (cleavage, plenty of makeup) but in my personal opinion most clients prefer discretion and they enjoy an elegant look when taking you out to dinner. (Eg. form fitting dress but not too revealing) The dress code for Michelin star or five star hotel restaurants are usually “the right side of conservative”.
- Have well manners, be polite, think of it as a job interview. The interviewer will probably think you’re going to carry yourself the same way when you’re with a high profile client. Showing your bubbly & entertaining side after a few minutes into the interview doesn’t do any harm. :)

Sorry this is all I can help you with ^^’

I'd never use cleavage. First of all, my face does not meet a "sexy" concept. I've always been told this, that I have a baby face. So, I'd probably lean more towards looking clean.

Simonka!
Thank you for the prompt reply. I have got a question... is there any preference for body type in Universe Club? Ahhh, I'm so nervous. I don't think I'm thin enough for most japanese standards, since I've got wide hips and I don't know if japanese men actually like that. So, I was wondering whether or not I should confirm the interview.. What if I'm not fit enough?

Sorry, I don’t know how Universe club works. I was just giving basic advice for meeting clients or managers.

Hey, those are healthy fat! :) Many Japanese & Asian men like my 92 cm hips and kind of round jiggly butt. (For Asian standards of course) Some may be into very slender women, but don’t let that discourage you. It all depends on how your overall figure looks like :) To give you some encouragement, I can say I get more positive attention from men now compared to my early twenties when I was super skinny.

If you have a cute innocent face, then you’ll definitely do well. :)

@layla1927, you don't need to worry about your body type. UC is not an "escort" site - legally, and there are all body types, face types, personality types on this website.

Just be yourself and don't worry... take the advice given on dressing and don't be nervous... They will also probably want to do a short introduction video as well... it's part of their process to get you on their website.

I was a member for a few years, but did not renew my membership this year... keep your expectations low on how many dates they can get you and you should be ok. :)

I've been a UC member for a while now. Things I see in a lot of profiles that relate to the interview are:

- Be on time. If you're late, the staff member writing your profile will mention it without fail. They take this pretty seriously as they aren't interested in matching you up with someone for a date only to have you show up late or, worse, flake out. If you show up a little early, this is usually reflected positively in your profile.
- Your manner and bearing at the interview are a big deal and tend to get large writeups in your profile. Be polite, tidy up after yourself and so on.
- Don't lie about your "dating type", as UC calls it. The staff at the club have interviewed bucketloads of people and can smell when you're making something up to get dates.

I was a member for just a year, several years ago. If things have not changed, you will be asked what kind of date you are willing to have: from platonic only, to only interested if it involves paid intimacy. And some stages in between. Only if chemistry is right, etc. There are codes on your profile that members are informed about so they know what to expect if they book you. Obviously, be honest about this or it will lead to awkward situations. But, as I said, this was four or five years ago. I don’t know if the system is the same today. But something you better consider before the interview.

///////////////////////////////////////////////// A EX-MEMBER'S THOUGHTS ///////////////////////////////////////////
I was a member of Universe Club. Speaking from a male perspective, it seems the interview isn't about rather you will be accepted. It is more about what category you will be in. Getting in BLACK (if they are still using this format) will put you in the Elite category. However it is the most expensive (for men) and very limited prospects, however, when you get one it is very likely it will be beneficial for you.

I personally think Gold is the better of the category, it is one below Black and prospects are more plentiful. While it is cheaper than Black it is beneficial and it commands a very good level of respect.

If they have not changed the categories, they are from lowest to highest:

WHITE
SILVER
GOLD
BLACK

I think the categories White, Silver and Gold are based on your choose and their recommendation (maybe your looks, based on the interviewer).
The categories are significant for a couple reasons:
1) As I mentioned the accessibility of the woman, the lower the category the more woman (looks are comparable), these dates are cheaper to arrange, so these woman are likely going on more dates. I, personally, look at these as cheap dates. The woman may have a completely different and polar opposite perspective than mine.
2) The higher the category the higher cost the prospect pays to meet you. This is a two edged sword. The more he pays for a date, the more he is (I was) expecting the date to end with a private meeting; however, this perspective is what I expected, another man may not have these expectations. You will likely know his intentions if you have a decent conversation during your meal.
3) When I was a member, the ladies profile indicated their likelihood of continuing the date to a private setting after the first meeting (lunch, dinner). E category meant she "will" go . The lower the letter the less likely she was willing to go. I usually selected dates with women who choose E and D for this category; however, if the lady was very attractive I would select from lower categories.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You always have the choice to continue on a private date or not. There is no pressure for you to do anything unless you like him. I have gone on a few dates where she did not like me enough to continue the date and it ended after the meal. (Most disappointing for me).

I stopped using the service because it was too expensive without assurance I would get a private meeting. If I wanted casual dating, I don't need a service I could go out on my own. It would be cheaper and my hit rate would likely be better (smile).

I wish you well and lots of success.

They usually ask where are you from, what your hobby, what you do etc.
Later they take your picture. Make sure to be classy, never heavy makeup.
If it is possible check the picture they took of you. I didn't and one gentleman told me I look Much better in person :(

After while some of gentleman will contact you and doing date time they will ask how much you want.
Some will want pay for meeting /monthly.
Is can take while,,,since a lot girls now are in Kousaikurabu交際クラブ。
I didn't go to Universal since i were looking for client who are into only Gaijin.

I understand that this thread is old by TAG standards, but wanted to give some insight into Universe Clubs target for interviews with female applicants. First, as written above, the interview and photoshoot will be on the same day. This might seem only to benefit Universe Club, but they will be evaluating you on the 2 big factors, how your personality was by how you interacted with the interviewer, and how you show up in the photos taken by them. An assumption for @sugarcatwhite situation for her photos looking bad (Pardon me if I'm wrong), is that the interviewer was a newbie and should have been trained on photography properly before conducting the interview independently, and yes, any girl that goes to the interview should take a look at the photos that were taken. After the interview and photoshoot, the staff should let you know that if they accept you as a member, they will contact you with your membership details. On the other hand, if they think you have too many bad impressions or looks, they will simply not contact you again. Cruel, but then again, they are a company in the end with gentlemen making big payments for memberships and for dates, understandable. Hope this will help ladies understand the Universe Club interview processes. And by the way, they have started doing an online interview as a precaution for the latest outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But they still ask you to come for the photoshoot on a different date. They do deal with wealthy rich clients, so it might be good for ladies to find out where your level is by there standards.

Yeah, rolled that thought and presented it to the bosses, didn't go through... ended up doing an online dating service
Well, just keep in mind TAG isn't free either. If you continue in this fashion, we'll be forced to remove UC completely. You guys have not paid any ad fees here, that means you can't come here and promote yourselves.

Duly noted!

frankly guys (UC and such), is it so hard to buy a simple ad on TAG?

i don’t have any stocks in this company (not even sure it’s a company) but frankly your attempts from time to time to shill your services through fake or paid reviews, or self-promotion posts is lame and doesn’t fool anyone, even give you a bad reputation
