I am still wondering why WHO and others didn't remember how they managed to get through the last pandemic in 1908.

I was thinking it's epidemics 101...seems it's not for you. So here's how it works: Isolation helps trace the close contacts. Tracing contacts ASAP minimizes the interval between onset and diagnosis. Minimization of the delay between onset and diagnosis lowers mortality rate. And here're...

Wrong. Without the mandatory isolation from Feb. 5th, it could have been much uglier: You simply couldn't do such kind of isolation in any country.

You might need to update your knowledge about this new disease and stay in line with CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/transmission.html and regarding your theory of touching surfaces: Therefore, your doctors are being hypocritcal when they know the virus is mainly...

No. I didn't sell one single mask in Japan. I just somehow knew they'd be out of stock in advance, and people in Japan will probably need them later. Again, these later turned out to be facts.

And most of them later turned out to be facts...although some of you might still think they are my delusions.

Epidemiology is all about likelihood. So no I don't really care much about what's unlikely. And in this Oita case, it's extremely unlikely that the they two infected one another, because another gentleman from Aichi was just tested positive after he paid a visit to this shop on Feb. 20th.

Yes. But given that the median incubation period is 5.75 days, and both confirmed cases exhibited their symptom on the same day, it's very unlikely that they spread the virus betweem themselves. There's probably some else involved. If it's not one of the coworkers, it got to be one of the clients.

No, I didn't know about the link you provided. It's a friend of mine who has been to that shop before, and he told me that it's a kyaba shop. I did some google search, and it seems it really is. For example, take look at their recuitment ads:

Here's another fear-mongering information that you guys might not be comfortable with, but might need to be aware of. The virus has already started spreading in the fuzoku industry. The first confirmed case in Oita is a キャバ嬢. The first case in Yamaguchi stayed in her shop for two hours and...

Here's another fear-mongering: The whole symptom-based screening processes they have been doing in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan and many other places, but especially in the case of Diamond Princess, might be flawed. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2001899

Used to be working, but not anymore. They have been confisticating masks lately, and now whoever got caught selling masks at higher than normal prices will be put in jail for a really long time (source...
