Need to speak Japanese for Love Hotel??

Last suggestion I took from you was XO....won't make that mistake again.. haha.
Sorry, but... I never recommended this hotel! As I said earlier, I had never gone there until this week (when I was turned away).

The only LHs that I truly recommend are both in Shibuya Dougenzaka: Claire and Zero.

Are there any ones(not too expensive) in particular in Shinjuku that people would recommend? I think I recall people saying that Hotel LaPIA(number one recommended by JKStyle) is not foreigner friendly.

I've been there with Japanese guys no problem and its a very nice hotel but i don't know about two foreigners together.
There have been many reports on TAG of people saying they didn't need Japanese to get into La Faesta, and its also a budget hotel, but i can't recall personally having experience with that one.

La Festae is cool. Did not need to speak Japanese. Went there 2 times.

I've had once problems in Shibuya(forgot which hotel it was...) and the front lady heard us talking in English as I was explaining the love hotel system to the client. The lady then said nihongo only and I replied in Japanese to her that I can speak it and that it's fine.
She then started to mumble some Japanese I couldn't understand (probably out of purpose) so she cancelled the room and made us leave.

Shibuya white city 32 is always safe tho...

Yes, I can vouch for that. The staff from JK/OL Style especifically recommended me La Festae for being foreign friendly. I think the hotel is nice and clean enough.

how much is too expensive for you? for the price I pay I like the JHT group (Forsion, Pasha), Bali An,. also make sure you select the right stay length ... no need to pay full length if a 2H short time will suffice.

LaPia (the one at the back of Listo) is safe ... I've it only once though. I spoke English w/ my date for the day. No one threw us out. You don't need to interact with a live person (unless there is a problem) since everything is by machine ... but the machine is JA-only. Select a room and length of stay, the first machine spews out a card. It's also your room key. When you check out, you insert the same card to a 2nd machine and insert your money.

definitely can second this! it is my *2nd home* in Shibuya. it is a silent witness to many hours of fun.

You should enter the room than make phone call because you need the exact room number. As the member here had bad experience in hotel XO,might be it is not your best choice.Hotel Balian group is gaijin friendly, they have quite a lot of branch in Kabukicho.

Took your advice and used Bali An (twice actually). Super friendly staff even if my Japanese is very bad and the rooms are quite nice. Thanks again!

PS: I used the one on Meiji-Dori
