It's official I hate Game of Thrones (GoT) [Spoiler Warning]

wanring spoilers!!!!

That being said, I currently hate this season especially after it started off so well.

I need to watch ep. 2 - please don't even hint as to what happens. I think I know, because of some random comment from someone I saw today.

Going to sit down here shortly and get my stream going to catch up....

Would you believe if I said everyone lives happily ever after? No? OK then, everyone dies. (Maybe not in ep. 2 but overall)

Somebody you don't expect to die dies. Someone you expect to die lives. And there are random titties in there somewhere.

Sometimes when I get down about shit that is happening in Game of Thrones, I watch the Anime Gate and wish that something like that would happen

Finally had the chance to get caught up with GoT during this summer. (was So Far behind, like Battle of Blackwater Bay behind)

Can't wait for the final two pisodes of season 7. Looks like its gonna be Epic! :D

Just watched the leaked one yesterday. It sucked and not in the good way; I knew everything what was going to go down even before I started to watch it. Quite clear the old fat guy is not writing the story anymore.

I am a huge fantasy reader, or at least I used to be, and I am not a big fan of the books. I enjoy the TV show a lot more.
Also, after GRRM went longer than Robert Jordan with the writing time for the books I just gave up after book 3.

I have read all the books and I agree, the TV show is better. But what Martin gave to us was the fear. You would read the book and go "yeah, this guy is a hero, everyone likes him and there is 50 pages already used to build his character so nothing can happen to him... Oh shit!".

And the show used to be like that too. Except now when they have couple of main characters and then a dozen sacrificial lambs and the heroes make a Hollywood style last minute escape while the lambs get slaughtered. Every. Fucking. Time.

Sunday nites episode has already been leaked.

Or rather they released it themselves by accident. And tried to remove it after they realised their mistake but the cat was already out of the back.

What? I love the new season.
I agree that the show has really drifted, but considering the sheer amount of characters and side plots that George R.R. Martin introduced in the books there's no way they can satisfyingly sum up the entire series within the next eight episodes or so. From what they're working with I think they're doing an excellent job.

The books are very confusing for a lot of people. I started reading them around 2005 or so. I agree that the show is really good.... but there's a lot of small things that I love about the book. Like the internal politics of Essos. It's confusing as hell but I love it anyway. And the prophecies and the dreams which play a vital part in the books and are mostly missing in the series for obvious reasons.

Ok so I admit , total newbie here but interested . Plus I pay a Netflix subscription which I barely use. Plus i need a good série to watch with SB between two sessions (or wth, maybe during the sessions).
What would you GOT black belt guys would advise to do? It seems so overwhelming when you read about it and have no clue what people mean. Is it hard to follow (with all those characters and plots and sub-plots)? Is it better to read the books before? Is it too addictive and could negatively influence my work and love life? Are the pics photoshopped? Is FS included?

I don't think it's on Netflix yet.

I watched the first episode which got me hooked, then read the first 3 books. Then followed the series up until around the end of Season 2 when real life got in the way and I didn't have time to keep up. Finally got to binge watch Seasons 3-7 this summer and get caught up.

I think it's easier to follow if you've read the books (at least the first few books) as there's a lot of characters and storylines to follow, but once you get in to it, it's pretty addicting. :)

It's not too hard to follow. Yes, there are a lot of characters but as long as you can remember most of them you'll be alright. The main characters are easy to remember. Try watching Season 1. Unfortunately while it's on Hulu, it's not on Netflix. The books are great but if you don't like reading (especially huge fantasy books a lot of confusing things) then just stick to the show for now.

Yes, FS is included. There's a lot of FS and a lot of insect and everything is BB.

Thanks! But I'm a techno-retard so will wait for it to be on Netflix. There are many other cult series I haven't watched , like Breaking Bad or House of Cards so maybe I will start with that. I heard there is FS at House of Cards too ! ;)

I am not sure if I am ready for insect BBQ. o_O But there are lot of boobs and you can't go wrong with boobs.

Breaking Bad or House of Cards so maybe I will start with that.

Both of those were good at Season 1 but got worse and worse. BB I watched until the bitter end but HoC I stopped somewhere down the road.

Well maybe I'll do the same . The only one I watched and enjoyed until the very end was House MD. Even to this day I use a lot of his wonderful team management techniques! :D

INCEST. NOT INSECTS.
(which of course is so much better)

I got into GoT somewhere in the 2nd season, watched off and on to the point when Mountain killed the Viper (what season was that?). Then life happened. I never figured out why Tyrion Lannister is still around. I've been trying to go back and watch the first season and then catch up but life has other plans.

I wonder who in the end will get married and live happily ever after? :D

Are we still talking about GoT or are you just wondering about life in general?

Because normally it seems those two groups of people are totally separated.
