Agree with the comments... and have already commented but....... I'm wondering if there is some correlation in surnames on the ghosting ? ie: Asian, westerner ? It could be that westerners are booking before they travel to Japan and when they arrive jetlag kicks them in the ass... I'm not trying to justify it, but when they are making the booking it could be a question to reduce the risk of them falling asleep and no show... if Asian surname, then have no bloody idea other than... no balls and being rude... or they get scared and chicken out and can't bring themselves to cancel. just a few thoughts... It is still unacceptable regardless.

No, it’s not because of deposits because I generally don’t request them. Maybe clients in Australia take seeing an escort quite seriously, and respect that our time is valuable? Maybe they have a greater fear of being ‘outed’ or ‘blacklisted’ if they don’t hold up their end of the bargain?

Take this week in Tokyo. I was stood up by a client on Monday (after I had travelled to his hotel). He rang me later and claimed that he was stuck in a meeting and couldn’t message me. I gave him a second chance, and he did the same thing to me tonight- stopped responding to messages after I was already in the hotel lobby.

What’s the point of this game playing? It takes two seconds to slip to the bathroom and send a message.

I had turned down other bookings to see this man. So, two evenings with no bookings because I was trying to be patient and kind. The client didn’t offer to compensate me for my time. Instead he offered to take me to dinner and told me that I was greedy because I asked to be paid my platonic rate.

This kind of behaviour makes me wish that I did take deposits from everyone.

I'm the same. I dont know why I do it. Its not the difference in cost. The amount means nothing to me. Or I should say, its a rounding error in Warubuta's Personal Slush Fund for Fun. But.... I somehow think a good fuck really shouln't cost more than 20k. It just shouldnt. That is half of it. The other half might be that I kinda like the sleazy low end. The dank room etc. The adventure and uncertainty is part of the fun. Every now and then I find a a real gem at a good price. But anyway, I have resolved to stop being silly about this and to start laying down the 30 or 40 required for a hot young thing, proper hotel etc.

I occasionally get asked if I provide 30 minute one shot service at a cheapest hotel.
I actually did think about adding a new 40 minute incall course.

A part of me does like the adventure and thrill of the unknown. But it shuts up pretty quickly when a total woofer opens the door. I have some really bad stories I might share someday. But to your point, I also on principle think certain things shouldn't cost over a certain amount. I paid 12,000 ($120 actually) for this and that's the market rate for 30 minutes FS in my neck of the woods. I kinda like seedy, sleazy things but I think there's a limit. And the thing is - for about $40 more I could just go to an actual shop where they sell FS and have hot, slim asian girls. But it's the $40 that keeps me away. Why pay $160 when you can lay $120. But maybe it's time I also started plopping down some proper cash for good sex in a nice place.

Now That would make things so much better. I mean reviews aren't everything but at least it tells you something. I always look for reviews before booking but often have no choice but to take the leap of faith.
 
I'm a few steps down the food chain compared to you guys but I thought something similar as I was fucking a girl for free last week after video chatting with her for about half an hour. Well she was explicitly looking for a hookup. I didn't have much convincing to do, after a few messages my line was full of naked pics of her. Whatever gives you satisfaction and feels right is fine. I sometimes chat up girls when I notice they look lonely or nervous. Not because I want something but because I feel bad I guess.

Going back to your earlier post, if you can get sex for free and it gets the job done that's great. But sometimes things are free or cheap for a reason. I wonder how seeing a good provider would compare.

Depends what your motivations for having sex are. Mine are:

1. Physical pleasure (10%)
2. Getting the frustration out of my system (30%)
3. Curiosity (10%)
4. Furthering my understanding of how the female body works (20%)
5. Improving (or lowering) my self-esteem (from knowing that someone finds me attractive enough to do it with me) (from -30% to +30%)

A professional will provide me with items 1, 2 and 3 (50% of my motivation) while free sex will provide me with items 1, 2, 3 and 4 (70%) modified by item 5 (how attractive/repulsive the person is) for a total ranging between 40% and 100%.

So I'd say I prefer a provider to a super unattractive hookup but an average to somewhat lower than average hookup is preferable for me to a provider. I think I understand. So for you it's about much more than just the physical pleasure and blowing off steam. I think most dudes have some other driving forces as well behind what we do. It is what it costs for most Japanese clients (FS with an occasional lady , deai-type). Of course with a +/- margin depending on time, looks etc, but overall from what I have read it seems like a good reference point.
