I want to visit a strip theatre like Rockza. I will be on my own for the day. I have a few of questions:

1. Do they allow gaijins to watch the show?

2. How safe is it? Any stories of anyone getting robbed?

Thanks in advance.

Do a forum search for Rockza, quite a bit of information already on the forum and it’s still valid.

1.Yes.

2. Safer than probably any other adult activity out there.

Indeed. Any review in the last 50 years for Rockza is still valid.

The only danger I see in a place like that is you stumble in the semi-dark room trying to find your seat and sprain your ankle.
You could get coal miner’s lung disease if you hang around in the foyer for more than a minute or two.

Or pinch your finger in the beer machine.

Do not listen to the above. Japanese old school strip club are very dangerous. I once heard that a well respected gentlemen got the soles of his shoes slightly soiled as a result of beer that had been spilled. Obviously any place a local friendly foreigner suggests to guide you to will be much safer as it will only cost you about 5,000 US and a kidney.

As with all of these erotic theatres and shows, I advise against sitting next to the guy who has a coat in his lap.

Just say "Wakarimashita" when they ask if you understand the rules.

Don't try to touch the performers. Do not take any pictures, unless you line up and pay for the use of the provided camera at the end of each performance.

If you live in Japan, ask for a point card. If you are over 60, bring ID for a discount.

Enjoy!
