I've had three experiences at Maruhi:

I used their services last Friday for the first time. It was extremely easy even with my almost non-existent Japanese.

Filled out the form, once I got a reply all the other details were arranged via email. Course details, hotel, time etc.

To avoid the phone, when I checked into the hotel I sent a photo of the key which includes room number and hotel name.

FYI; I met Junko. She happily accepts foreigner but all communication was very broken Japanese.

Nothing at all against Maruhi-Densetsu, but companions in the 30s (and up) are more or less guaranteed. A comparison of MD’s 2008 cast list , stored on the Waybackmachine, reveals that working at MD is a veritable fountain of youth.

Hopefully, you know that providing full service is mostly illegal in Japan. Openly naming providers who provide it would be extremely counter-productive:
  • The provider could get in trouble
  • The agency could get in trouble
  • And most of all, more services would refuse gaijin, because they don't know the rules, and can't keep their goddamn mouths shut
Lastly, the people who spend their time and money to develop actionable intelligence don't do it to improve the odds of lazy bums who think they are entitled to constant spoon-feeding. This is Japan. Learn to read between the lines. Go out and reconnoiter.
