Where can I hire a model for a photoshoot?

Anyone know where I can find/hire a female model for a photoshoot during my next trip to Japan? It will be paid and there wont be any nude shots. Any help to get me pointed in the right direction would be helpful. Some people have suggested Model Mayhem, but I dont have an account there.
 
I think your best bet is Model Mayhem. You can find both local and international models in Japan. High fashion quality models might ask for a fee, regular models can be up for copies. You can search for the body type you’re looking for and you will get to see some of their work on their model mayhem page. Models with experience and versatility will have a variety in their portfolio. Craigslist could be another option but much more slow as you will have to wait for a response from random people who may not even be model material. It will take a lot of time to figure out if they are what you’re looking for.

You can also reach out to modeling agencies in Japan. There are two types:

. Contract agencies
. Non contract agencies

You can find a good deal with non contract agencies but sometimes the “model” may not be very model like. There are some good looking girls tho, who for some reason can’t or won’t get a contract job from a contract agency.
However you can also find a model quality girl from MM without having to pay the agency.

I concur create a ModelMayhem account it is free. Figure out the days you want to shoot and put up a casting call. Since you are saying you'd doing paid shoots, you shouldn't' t have any problem getting models to respond.

She may have a job and work visa arranged through her job. Or sometimes agencies are looking for a particular type of girl. Fashion designers and photographers get bored easily and fall in love with someone new. She can be a pretty girl, just not what the “gods” are looking for at that moment. In Japan you need to be very skinny & a certain height to sign a contract. Agencies are looking for versatile girls who meet the requirements for both the face (cute or high fashion) and the body. The only girls under 170 cm I met had very unique Barbie doll features.

Makes sense then. I had hoped Japan would be a bit more flexible because of how short the average girl here is. But i guess 170 is already flexible because its usually at least 175 in Europe.
Also i’m probably way too heavy, lol.

The non contract agencies suck for getting jobs. They only have very low paid ones in inconvenient locations and they always make you hold your schedule open, then someone else gets casted.

Agencies which specialize in foreign girls have different expectations. Freckles and wrinkles are a huge no. Skin must be perfect. Height should be between 170-178 depending on what you want to do which is way shorter than European standards. There are many European models who are taller than 178. Waist can’t be more than 61 cm. Hips can’t be more than 89 cm. I think for shorter girls stuff like vivi magazine shoots are a more realistic bet but you have to be sort of popular in Japan.

Yeah its tricky. I asked the staff of a non contract agency if they ever have any star jobs instead of extas and she said something like “they usually cast someone who’s already famous for that”. Understandably a tough business to get your foot between the door.
Although i’m well propositioned I don’t really fit the modeling standards.

It does make a lot of sense actually. To be succesful in this work, you have to be beautiful.
Having good pictures of you taken also helps well for sugardating sites.
No nudes? Well, if she doesn’t have the option to take video and nude pictures on [Redacted] then that makes sense as well right? The websites have bikini pictures at most and they blur or photoshop the faces.

She’s probably going for something different than with sexwork and wanting to reach different goals. Just because we are comfortable getting naked with a guy we just met in a certain setting doesn’t mean we want to do that in other settings as well and we can not have other interests, hobbies or goals.
