Can someone PLEASE explain what is so fantastic about Japan when FS with normal penetration is in most cases not prohibited?
For me this is the one million dollar question...
Well, first up, the only thing that’s illegal is vaginal intercourse for money.
Where this makes things interesting is how creative the industry became at offering everything short of FS. Just look at the options list at any health joint.
Further, if you have a fetish, there is very likely a shop that caters to it in Tokyo or Osaka. Schoolgirl, office lady, ladyboy, BBW, scat, lactation, BDSM from mild to heavy, there’s a provider out there that’s got your number. Hell, there’s a shop that specializes in toothless grannies. More than one, actually.
Additionally, not being an Abrahamic faith based nation means there is very little of the guilt and shame attached to sex that there is in the West, so providers tend to be more comfortable with why they do.
Combine this with the typical Japanese attention to customer service and you have a sex industry that leads the world in creativity and variety. On top of that, it’s safe. You’re not going to get robbed or murdered by a provider while mongering in Japan.*
To add to that, FS not being advertised doesn’t mean it isn’t on the table, but it’s
not available to anyone that doesn’t know how and when to negotiate for it. Like many other things, your adult experiences in Japan get better with increased language skills and cultural knowledge. Many facets of the hobby here are inaccessible without decent language skills, as they tacitly require communication - chikan play for example.
So, short version: if you are going to be here long enough to develop the communication skills, or are willing to develop them before you arrive, Japan is fantastic and safe with endless variety.
*(Note: Touts, especially the Nigerians, are another matter. They
will drug you and rob you. But even they won’t kill you.)
