I've moved to Kawasaki and I'm having a real pain finding good massage with HE. There's a ton of massage places here, but I've not had all that much luck. One chain was a no go for HE, one place has HE but only after a ¥5000 surcharge - even with a リンパ course - which makes the price skyrocket. Was checking Japanese reviews and one place that looked like a good possibility is apparently also a no go.

Sure, I can just get on the train and get a good priced service in Tokyo, but it'd be good to have somewhere I can just walk down the road to rather than get crushed on the keihin tohoku for half an hour. Anyone got any hints?

I feel your pain. Kawasaki is not a friendly place for a foreigner, especially not a white boy like me.

If you are looking for a good massage and a HE then unfortunately my only advice to you is to take that train. I think over the years I have visited around 50 or so on places in Kanagawa from Yokohama to Kawasaki and there is none yet that I would recommend.

It's incredible how the situation changes immediately when you cross the border to Tokyo. One mama-san actually claimed to me it is because the Kanagawa police is much more active but I'd take that with a bag of salt; most probably there is just not enough competition for them to provide good service.

Yeah, something I read said that due to Kanagawa police all Kawasaki places use paper underwear. Which I've found to be true, even in the one where HE happened. Ah well.

That's actually sort of true... Tokyo cops aren't slacking, but they have more to police. Cops in the Greater Tokyo Area Doughnut municipalities have less to police, so they police what they have hard.
