I read the other day that Ikebukuro may be the biggest red light district in Japan after Kabukicho. I used to go to a place much like New Hot Point. The ladies weren`t as pretty, but the service was very good. Sadly that place is long gone now. I also used to get some pretty good massages with happy endings. I like a good happy ending? Don`t you? It is so Disney!

OK "Let it go!"

In the past year, I have tried two different Chinese massage places in Ikebukuro, and I should have taken note of their names so I could warn others off them. Sorry! A few months ago, at a Chinese massage, the lady actually asked me if she could end it early, as she was negotiating with the landlord about a new apartment to live in.

Then tonight, I broke my own rule and didn`t ask to make sure that a happy ending was included and got burned for 16K. My own fault to a certain extent.

But they have the sexy sign out front, and the beautiful front lady who claims to be from Kyushu, but seems Chinese to me. (I could be wrong, but I felt she was lying about being Japanese).

It was a great massage, with hot stones and such. But if I want that really, I go elsewhere.

Why is it, in an obviously Red Light District, that many of the massage places in Ikebukuro don`t offer at least a HE? I have found the same in Hiratsuka, Yokohama and even Atsugi. So for those places, I tend to stick to shops that have been reviewed favorably.

Maybe I have to do the same for Ikebukuro.

Recently one chap wrote about his favorite Fashion Health in Ikebukuro. He mentioned it just in passing in his post. I want to know the name. Maybe you would too?

What are your favorite places to have fun in Ikebukuro?

I really don`t want to believe it is a DEAD ZONE. There are so many shops, some must welcome foreigners and be really good. I just don`t want to spend 1,000 dollars trying to find them.

(All was not bad. I had a nice time with Maya of Hipness before going to Ikebukuro)

I'm only 2 stops away from Ikebukuro and I'd love to have a regular place there. There was a place called UCLA Little Bear in the north east area but that closed down. I've got a couple of sex friends but I still feel the need to a bit of P4P.

I have used Pururungang, Cutie Bomb in Ikebukuro. I heard there is a fashion health place called fantasy. Some of,them are gaijin friendly as long as you speak Japanese. But remember the girl still refuses the right to serve gaijin if the store accepts your membership

The ‘chap' whose favorite FH is in Ikebukuro would be me. As Johnnyboy84 mentioned above, its called Fantasy, Fashion Health/Image Club.

Go out the North Exit and go straight ahead along the RR tracks. After about 200 meters turn left at a shop called Suika/すいか. You should see a sign for Fantasy on the right. It's on the 9th fl.

There is no English support whatsoever, so you'll need Japanese. All the girls I've been with are Japanese in their 20s. I may be their only regular western customer. My first time 18 months ago the tencho was somewhat hesitant, but now I get a warm welcome and am greeted by name every time.

In the waiting area the rules are clearly posted in Japanese: be gentle with the ladies both verbally and physically, don't suggest FS (even jokingly), and don't invite them on dates (even jokingly). I've earned their trust by following these rules and with repeated patronage. Please don't be ‘that guy' who ruins it.

I like this place, and Ikebukuro for that matter, because it hasn't been overrun by westerners (A LOT of Chinese in the area however). It's still 'pure' in a cultural sense, so I'm grateful to partake.

Here is another fashion health place in Ikebukuro accepting gaijin: http://tokyo.mxy.jp/ikebukuro/top.html
I went once but never got around to writing a review. It's on the east side of Ikebukuro Station and there is a map on the website (http://tokyo.mxy.jp/ikebukuro/top.html#cont_ikebukuro/access.html). It's in the red light area next to/behind the main Bic Camera, across the street from Yamaya.

Ikebukuro is far from dead, on the contrary it has a lot to offer the patient yet inquisitive gaijin with some level of fluency in Japanese and who doesn't mind venturing off the beaten track. There are very few touts compared to places like Kabukicho, and the few that I've noticed are Japanese and know when to back off. There are also very few westerners. I've found lots of great places through the 風俗ご案内 in the area.

I completely agree.

Ikebukuro does have a lot to offer, on both sides of the tunnel, if you take your time and find your niche. It's not nearly as international as Kabuki-cho (no Nigerian touts) and I hope it stays that way.

For every place that refuses gaijin there's another place around the corner who'll let us in. If you speak Japanese and are clean and well-dressed you'll have a much better success rate.

I don't know if it's still the case, but there used to be a fair number of SE Asian & Latin American girls prowling the love hotel area after dark.

Trying this Saturday.... not expecting the best results based on past experiences but will see. out of curiosity are you asian-looking?

I went there once not long ago, and after checking my Japanese I was OK'd by the very friendly doorman. I don't look Asian at all, and the doorman told me they have a handful of foreign customer. I didn't fancy any of the girls available to me at the time, so I decided to move on.

I have 0% Asian DNA- 190cm, 83kg, white guy. But I speak Japanese well after 22 years living here.

Thanks guys, I was hoping for many answers like these. It is a huge RLD, so I hoped and suspected my two recent experiences were isolated events. I am always polite and treat the ladies with lots of respect.

Sorry new here - thanks for the directions Floridian.

Looking at their site, it seems the rules are as follows (for newbies) -
http://www.ikebukuro-fantasy.com/reserve/rev1.html
  1. Ring after 9.30AM the same day you intend to book.
  2. Provide your mobile number.
  3. Something about going to their website... perhaps just a suggestion to research?
  4. Ring an hour before your booking to confirm.
  5. Arrive 30 minute before your booking.
  6. Your booking will be sorted after 50 minutes.
Anything else I need to look out for before booking?

The above rules that you've listed are only for booking a RESERVATION. The ‘rules’ referred to earlier in the thread are for playtime conduct and are posted in the waiting room before meeting your girl.

I've never reserved by phone, so I'm not sure how that would go, especially if it's your first time and they don't know you or your alias. I would recommend going in person your fist time since this place 1) doesn't specialize in English and foreign clients (like AM), or 2) is not a DH, and as such, probably doesn't deal with phone correspondence very much.

I normally check their website a few days ahead of time to see which girls are available when I'm in Ikebukuro, decide who I want to meet, then show up during her shift. My favorite scenario, if my schedule permits, is to get there about 30 min before her shift starts, request my girl and pay, then wait for her arrival.

Hope it goes well!

Just to expand on the rules shown:
1) 9:30 on the day of play is for phone reservations for people who haven't used the shop yet
2) You can't use a number blocking setting when calling (or call from a pay phone) -- they won't answer
3) The only coupon that they will honor is the one on their site for first time punters
6) They only accept phone bookings for 50 minute or longer sessions (i.e. not the 35 minute "health" course)

Cheers

I've also used Cutie Bomb and have had no trouble, but you need decent Japanese ability.

There is a heisei jogakuen in ikebukuro, but I don't know if they are gaijin friendly. I've beem to the shibuya branch several times and always was accepted, but I got the batsu at the shimbashi branch.

Awesome, thanks Muku1.

Went a few hours ago, bloke manning the place was really patient and friendly, funny guy too :)

Service was great.

I *think* it was Rina; wanted to mention the name before, but was super tired and forgot as I left.

Apologies :(

I remember her photo was the first one on the second row, so I'll be able to update if I go again.

I realize I'm replying to a very old post but I can confirm that UCLA is no longer. That location is now part of MXY Group and specializes in high school girl costumes. Found this out this evening when I was perusing old bookmarks and tried to go to UCLA. Did not go to the MXY place, schoolgirls are not my thing!

Thanks for the update - this necro-bump is fine... people will find this thread via Google and at least there's an answer for someone that may be looking.
