Soapland during the Winter...do they have heating?

Hi TAG. I'm going to be in Tokyo the second half of December. I plan on going to high-end Yoshiwara Soaplands. A couple of questions...

First, is it cold in those rooms during the Winter? Do they have heating? Do I have to wear UNIQLO Heattech during play? This is a concern for me since I am Southern California born and raised. I do not fare well in cold climates.

Second, are Soaplands good around the end of the year? I know Christmas is not an official holiday, but with New Years and stuff, is business slow, and therefore not many girls are working?

FYI I have been to soaplands a number of times (all walk-ins). I mostly stick with the expensive places since I had a bad experience with a cheap/medium place and so I was left scarred.

Do they have heating ? No, obviously not. They perform their duties in snowmobile suits, all the while their teeth chattering, and considering making a move to Okinawa.

seriously, it’s a place where people work naked, what kind of stupid question is that?

So the rooms are very cold during the winter? Is it going to be unpleasant then? Thanks for the reply though.

The rooms will be more than hot that you'll want to keep your clothes off. For me, I feel too hot in there even in summer.

Oh. You dont know about soaplands in the winter? I am afraid your concerns are correct. There is no heating. The good news is they put away the mats, run an inch or two of cold water onto the floor and let it freeze overnight. Then we slide around on it on our bellies kinda like penguins do. It is surprisingly similar to the summertime mat play only it is a bit colder.

I would tend to trust the guys here who say it’s heated , which gives me one good reason to try a soap: I can save on heating costs at home. That’s actually a brilliant idea. Now I can finally go to a soap with a worthy, even ecological, sense of purpose

You don't even need a shower or a bath at home; just visit every night and let the girls wash you! More savings!

So much truth right here. Getting bathed at the shops AND still taking hotel showers, I’m the cleanest I ever am on my vacations. Especially my arsehole. (Sorry, was that TMI?)

You sound pretty experienced so I'm surprised you've never learned about the Yoshiwara soapland protocols for winter. See, what they do is keep all the windows and doors open and also cancel gas and water heating. And the bathtubs are filled with ice cubes, just like those baths you see NFL players in after a hard game. Two reasons for this: One, it has extraordinary healing properties for the male body, and let's face it, most of us are getting to the age where we need it. And two, it scares away all those whining pussies from California and they end up in 2-Chome where they belong.

Rock that Heat-Tech, bro!

Thanks for the snarky comment guys, much appreciated! I’ll make sure to bring Hokkairo heat packs with me to the soaplands so I don’t freeze off my wussy SoCal ass. I’ll come back again with more stupid questions.

Hey don’t feel bad! You know what a real stupid newbie thing to do is? Booking 4 long-time escorts here (some highly reviewed , with many fans) and reporting in your very first post or so that you thought one was boring and too expensive, two were chubby and the last one skanky.
THAT my friend is how NOT to start well on a forum. And yes, it was this dumbass frenchy who did it. So no worries, you will soon feel welcome and surrounded by brotherly love . And heat. :)

Usually the waiting room of a soap is well heated that you may feel a bit cooler when entering the playroom.

Some shops are closed on New Year's day, but otherwise it's not slow.

To answer your question, you'll have to learn one of the universal truths about Japan and Japanese people: They are incapable of the concept of "moderation." If they go on a diet, they'll starve themselves until they resemble Auschwitz survivors; if they want to run a marathon, whether or not they're physically capable of it, they'll run until they end up in an ambulance; if General Tojo says kill a Chinese civilian, they won't just kill one but beat and rape and stab and shoot and burn hundreds of women and children until the entire village disappears.

And the same theory applies to winter heating practices. As soon as it's just a little chilly outside and the official decree is handed down to BEGIN HEAT, they'll turn up the heaters so high like that your favorite izakaya will feel like a fucking blast furnace and you'll end up stripping down to your underwear just to make it through dinner.

So NO, you will not be cold in the soapland, or the waiting room, or the train car or your hotel room. But seriously, you're about to have a naked female wash you with her private parts and then hump the shit out of you...and you're worried about feeling a draft??? There's a word for that, and it rhymes with BAG. Bro.

Let's put it this way, I've yet to wear a jacket here in Japan yet. Just a light hoodie and it's been fine for me. Not too hot and definitely not cold. While it's a little colder than Cali, it's also dry here so it doesn't feel that cold. I start wearing my jacket around January when snow is more possible.

You'll be sweating in trains and buildings so make sure you have something easy to take off to cool down.

I am still just on my t-shirt on trains as I do a frisk walk for 5 minutes to reach the station. All the rest of the crowd are on their winter jackets, scarfs and wool hats.

The good point is everyone is trying to keep in a respectable distance from me. If he is on his t-shirt now there is no knowing what that crazy person is going to do next.
