Hey guys,

Should I really press the pause button in taking the P4P services because of this corona scare ?
I had to cancel an already planned meeting with a lady who I have been having my eyes in for a few months now.

How careful should I be or is it all just normal out there ?

fairly normal now but I get the impression its changing this week. whether or not that is based on any actual science as opposed to scare-mongering is another matter, but just in the last couple days alone Ive seen several companies change policies in regards to working from home, and cancel events. also a few comments coming out of government now as well https://japantoday.com/category/national/avoid-crowds-over-virus-japan-health-minister-warns (apologies for linking to Japan Today)

I'm honestly kind of enjoying it right now... just managed to get an appointment with a girl I've been trying to book for months. Seems a lot of punters are staying away from the shops out of fear.... oh well, more for me!

Patiently waiting for the review:rolleyes:

I've got 18 reviews in to your 8 - what's with the eye roll?
Funny because I never thought this emoji meant eye-roll (like, doubting someone). I used it sometimes to express feelings like nostalgia, or envy (in a positive way) or wish , yearning, fantasizing about sthg pleasant etc...

You need to make your own judgement. Are you a young, healthy person? Are over 60? Or do you have preexisting health conditions despite being young? Do you live with elderly at home or maybe your spouse has asthma?

All we can do is risk analysis about a blurry scenario. I don’t think P4P is as risky as being part of a huge crowd in confined spaces with insufficient ventilation. Trains, hospitals, cafes.. these are all high risk IMO. When engaging in P4P you will be one on one with a girl or two, which is not as risky...

There has been a sudden spike in new cases recently: A group of taxi drivers were found to be infected with the virus, who attended a tour boat party. We can never know, but these men probably didn’t engage in P4P on this boat. The windows were shut down due to heavy rain, creating the perfect lab environment for the virus to spread.

Personally I’m still thinking of whether I should extend my break or not.

It all depends on you and your condition. I'm avoiding it for now due to the people around me. I'm sure things will go back to normal eventually. I wouldn't mind heading to a pinsaro for just a CBJ or something... but making out with a girl at an oppai club? I'm not so sure about that at the moment. I've been thinking recently how these businesses might be doing. I'm guessing a lot of these places will take a hit as the virus spreads.

Thanks on your views people..!

My fear started early this week when the government issued a statement saying they expect a much wider spread due to the missing connections between infected people.

Personally, I feel it is better to hold on for a while until this situation comes under control.

If it really spreads i think these businesses will be affected heavily...especially because it would last for months until the cases go down again. Only thing we can do is wait, but because quite a few new infections without clear chains surfaced, it's not looking too good. Would also be interesting to know at which point the government would interfere and force businesses to stop. But like somebody mentioned earlier, P4P you are in direct contact with one person....riding on the train you come in contact with thousands. Commuting daily is probably more a reason to worry than booking P4P from time to time.

I’m actually supposed to head to Japan in two weeks but even though I don’t want to succumb to paranoia and fear, rethinking whether I should go or not :(

Are you healthy or suffer from a chronic issue that would make you susceptible?
If you are a healthy person, you will be fine. If you have chronic issues or are elderly, then I’d say don’t take the risk.

If you aren't catching cold or something, it should be fine, as far as a provider is not catching cold or something, as well.

It's such a slow season, maybe due to people are extremely cautious... I'm only cautious, esp. not travelling overseas at this time. I know how to avoid from germs, and take pretty good care of myself. I don't know how much a mask can protect ourselves, but I care more for what I eat. Maybe more kimuchi or garlic, natto than usual. But again, I gargle alot with Japanese mondamin care liquid. I love it, can't live without it!

Well, I am a contrarian by nature and like to show solidarity so I booked an escort for the first time in many months. Pray for our health ... and fun , despite all the gloom and doom

At least the quarantine is going to be much nicer if you get to share the room.

The good thing is when the cases do go down (if it takes a few months) I'm going to end up splurging like crazy. I'll have to blow about 20 loads in both Kabukicho and Gotanda to make up for lost time.

I'm more concerned about my p4p options being even more limited than usual on my upcoming trip. A lot of soaps that usually accept foreigners aren't anymore. As "fun" is a big reason for me to head to Tokyo in the first place, I may have to postpone/cancel my trip.

Fast forward to today. Amid talks of possibly cancelling the Olympics, are the soaplands and other P4Ps curtailing their activities?
