The Yoshiwara Soapland Resource Thread

Speak for yourself. :)

I didn't finish medical school, but I paid attention....

Hehe, i studied biology for some time.....was interesting, but I also quit because I was not passionate about it. Best decision of my life not to pull through with it

Yeah. I would have made a horrible doctor. Probably a brilliant bioweapons researcher.

So best for all concerned that I channeled my inner evil into HR management.

Aren't you in HR now? What changed?:D
Like I said, I learned I don't enjoy working with sick people. By which I mean the ill and infirm.

HR is better, I work with a lot of perverts.

We will see today after Abe's speech....but I think after it's official, a lot of businesses will pause the next month.

It looks some shops are temporarily closed, like Jyotei女帝.
Hisyo seems to still open.

Heard news that toyko in talk with central which facilities can be shut down(temporarily), still importantly there is no legal right.

so it will leave to social pressure if it is not mandatory, else yoshiwara will be life as usual.

tobita will shut till 緊急事態宣言解除(emergency declare over) as of 04/07 update.

Next week, Hisyo will close too.

When Japanese ban sex workers(full sex0 , tobita evolve to a tea house over night, a legal loophole, work well for both, for harmony and prosperity.
so tobita is very sensitive not to provoke any conflicts with gov,and they fast enough to react.
I believe more will comply, if not, even no legal to force temporally shut down biz, frequent spot check and raid for paid full sex activitiy will hurt them bad too.
though is not a big crowded activites, a major hotspot, but can be potential spread as it is still a close contact services, lot of countries is reinforce social distancing, is just weeks to comply, painfully bare it to slow down spreading.

I've been reading a lot of news lately regarding how this pandemic and more recently state of emergency declaration is going to affect the girls and the industry in general. It looks really grim and an article I read even said many of them will go homeless and businesses may even go bankrupt. I've even seen pleas for help in several photo dairies for customers before the shops suspend their business.

Makes me really worried about a favorite girl I frequent whenever I'm in Japan :( I really hope this situation calms down soon, but I'm really not seeing it resolve at least for another 3 months.

it's sad but don't forget these girls make like 8x more than normal part time workers so they *should* have enough savings...

Most don't. Some of the girls do this kind of work to support their poor families... like their mother, father, children or husband with a huge pachinko debt.
Only a handful of them that I've ever talked to had a real financial plan to save for retirement or cases like this. Most of them had some sort of debt to pay-off (hosts, shopping cards, loans, etc.) or were obligated to send money to their families.

Thanks for the insight as always!
The article I read said similar things such as single mothers, parental support and etc. My favorite girl is a single mother with several children and I wonder if there's any way for me to help her out a little without being too intrusive or nosy.

Yeah, most of them don't. Exchanged a few messages with a delivery health girl yesterday. She used to do this kind of work only from time to time for some additional money and has a parttime job selling apparel.
Her problem is that due to the lockdown she won't be able to earn money the regular way because her shop closed down so she has to rely completely on health with very few customers. I think for a lot of them life is pretty tough at the moment.

The fucked up part is while the women don’t admit what they do to get the money, it seems that the family members know what they do without asking but still beg for the money to be sent. It’s really shifty in reality....

The one woman I know that has a bum husband also has a kid that is really skilled in sports and it takes a good amount of money to make sure he can attend the schools and sports camps that he needs so that the right people see his skills to obtain a sports scholarship and so on. Another woman who is a licensed nurse, works in a hospital and also a delivery health to send her two girls to college. The husband died a few years back leaving her with nothing...

Yeah I was just going to tell everyone here that Darling Harbour has closed for a month, starting April 13th.

A lot still available as of today ,(more will start from 13/4) anyone if plan going down, can check the update here.(few highend shut temporarily as of today like rokumeikan, LS, lavin frm 13/4)

https://www.東京ソープ.com/list.html , under the 本日の出勤 section.(my bad, lot still not update, need to click on the site to confirm)
if the shop not close, most japanese make reservation and take cab or the shop limo, and less loitering around the place(maybe more for those going for cheap budget ones).
