Please take not to connect ant LINE contacts saying that they will provide full service. The scam is like first they tell about their price say 20K ans ask you send money as prepaid card. That's all. You are scammed. If you pay the amount they ask gain saying that hit security, kidnap security travel cost etc. Am attaching the LINE profiles of such scammers LINE ID : hh8879. If any one asking to take a prepaid card. It is is a scam for sure.

Yeah, this has happened to a number of people and we've covered it before. The problem is, nobody does their research first and then they get bitten.

How did you find this person? Through LINE directly or did you see a web ad somewhere beforehand?

Help us document the path of contact so we can continue to warn others.

Yes. Unfortunately I turned on find nearby people option in LINE. I got requests from many Ids saying saying that they are providing service. Normally I used to ignore all of them. But this time i just want to know how it is working. First they will say 20K for the service and ask to purchase the Web Money and send the photo. They will say many reasons like - First time service only webmoney, being a student could not accept raw cash etc. You already scammed now. Now they will ask money for may things - Personal Security, Travel fare, kidnap security etc. Finally when you realize that you were scammed you already lost thousands of money. So whatever requests you received in LINE ask for pre paid money, ust block and them enjoy your day yourself. Simply turn off your people nearby feature in LINE and have a piece of mind.

Thank you for the confirmation - Ah yes, the good old "cannot accept cash" line and kidnap security? That's a new one.

I've made a new PSA and will also put it out on twitter shortly.

Many of them advertise in Tinder with a line address in their profile.

Always see the goods before handing over money? Just like selling on Craigslist, dealing with spammers/scammers who want to purchase items with checks that will just bouce.

Have come across a lot of these recently. They have not asked for money up front though, ever.

There are two kind of groups who do advertise in Tinder. One (pre-corona) were Thai escorts who were managed by some kind of organisation as all their messages were similar. They offered quickies in mainly APA hotels in Shinjuku or Roppongi.

Then there is another group, most girls claim they are from Taiwan and are studying in Japan. They will try to talk you to pre-pay using gift cards or such.

This is of the second category, but i have not been told to pre-pay. But now that you are saying this, i shall have my guard up and be more aware of the situation. Anyways there is no way i am doing an online transaction for this.
