Which games are you currently playing?

Finished it early in the lockdown. Fucking awesome. You like it?

Me too! I'm playing it again on nightmare, haha. Definitely! I feel like they added too much platforming, but the new combat mechanics totally make up for it.

Yep, I got it, and I despise platforming. Ruined the game for me, tbh.

I spent most of the game fluctuating between "this is the best game ever" and "goddammit, wtf did they do this!", and I usually don't get upset over games, haha. The way it was implemented also wasn't very intuitive. It felt like almost every time I'd just end up hanging on some time sensitive object not being able to figure out where to go, only to fall multiple times and loose a bunch of health.

Some more minor issues, I also feel the character models lost a bit of detail. However, it's probably due to the fact that they visually take damage now, therefore they probably have multiple models (undamaged and damaged) and require more memory. I'm not sure though. And I wouldn't be sad if they ditched the whole "doomsayer" story thing and just kept it old school.

But for me, the way health, armor, and ammo works overshadows the negatives. I feel much more engaged having to think more about what I'm doing in real time. I'm hoping the next one keeps that, has less story, and is visually more like 2016.

And minimal platforming. Seriously, that shit is the worst when you buy a game that's supposed to be all about fragging demons as fast as you can.

Been playing Warzone since it came out and MLB The Show 20.. I have The Last of Us 2 and RDR 2 but I haven't played either yet, well that's a lie I've played RDR2 but the prologue put me off because it was so long.. TLOU2 is being kept for a day where I want to just disconnect from the world

DIfferent people with different tastes; the rest of the game is amazing and immersive. I'm moving slowly through the story, enjoying side quests and random events wandering around the land.

Oh I know the game is amazing, and I want to play it, but when I started it (I played it 2 days after it came out) I don't think I was in the right mood to play it..? It'll eventually come back but for now it's gonna be on the shelf

Anyone here play the Yakuza series aka Ryu Ga Gotoku? I just started re-playing Yakuza 0. So fucking good.

What is platforming? (I did google it first but just loads of results about ‘platform games’)

When you have to jump around and do aerial acrobatics to progress through a game.

Basically jumping from platform to platform.

So thanks to you guys I bought RDR2.

Did any of you play Deathstranding? I'm a little bit tempted ;)

Played it, fucking loved it. Even went full nerd and got all the trophies. It's hard to describe what it plays like. Some people say it's a "walking simulator," but that is oversimplified. It's really polarizing; if you like more kinetic, action-packed games, Death Stranding is probably not for you. I find it oddly meditative in a way. Of course, as is par for the course for a Hideo Kojima game, the storytelling and presentation are top-notch. The themes presented hit really close to home because of the pandemic. 10/10 would play again.

Sounds actually good to me, but I started playing Yakuza 6 today and quite enjoy that so far too. Really feels like walking through kabukicho;)

Looks interesting. Several "The walking dead" characters in it.

Playing the Yakuza series is what actually inspired me to go to Japan lol. I was surprised I was able to navigate Kabukicho easily just going off what I knew from the games.

They are called thugs or menacing men there, but yeah, I'm still stopping and beating them up every time, even so the bastards have literally no money. The best part is that bystanders always applaud me. I tell you, it's a RL simulation, better than Sims:ROFLMAO:

World of Warcraft. Disappointed with BfA but excited for Shadowlands.

Man... I was in a game tonight, finally blowing off some steam after a long day of actual work for a change.
Some dude comes in to the match with a tag name of "All Lives Matter" and people just started flipping out. (Game has voice chat enabled, last man standing sort of thing)

And here I thought we could just put the BS aside and duke it out, virtually. (n)

Some people are just assholes.

And also....

As I am in self quarantine, I have been playing many Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) classics such as: Super Mario Bros., Contra, Tetris, Double Dragon, Ninja Gaiden.... I feel like in my childhood again!
