Since the soaplands/red light districts are off limits to active service members, how does one go to these places without getting caught? How does the military even monitor this?

They can’t check all foreigners IDs to see if they are military, but if there is trouble at your location (police responses) then the MP would would be called.

Do they have a map with all the restricted areas? That would be awesome, any time you go to a new city you would already know where all the fun is!

I’m thinking the wise choice would be to leave my military ID at home.

If you get stopped for an ID check and you don't have a residence card, military ID, or passport with an entry stamp, you'll be detained by the police - and they won't let you go until one of the three is produced.

Which means MPs for you. It's a small, but very significant risk.

Try Madame Coco in Atsugi.

Hmm... go to the same places as the too brass (colonels, generals etc...)?

Yeah. There is a off limits map. And the map includes where the brothels are at.

Study the map carefully......they are bound to have missed some fun spots or failed to update the maps.

Disguise..... study how your peers dress and behave. Most military guys stand out like "dogs balls" in Roppongi. Try to look, and sound different, from the military crowd.

Guys, I think there is a misunderstanding. The maps he’s referring to are the COVID-19 travel restrictions, not a more general restriction on entering red light areas. Each base has a different set of restrictions. My buddy that works on Yokosuka is not allowed to travel into downtown Yokohama, or anywhere in Tokyo.

Thanks everyone for your valuable intel. After weighing the pros and cons, I think I’ll pass. The risk definitely out weighs the benefits. The last thing I want to end up doing is explaining myself to the CO at CAPT’s mast just for a piece of ass.

I’ll wait to monger again when I get back to the states.

I’m in the Sasebo area. Slim pickens here. Was researching the Fukuoka, Nakasu area. If anything, gonna try another outcall to a hotel in the future.

I really don't think you would have anything to worry about even if you hit downtown Tokyo. It is not like there is Shore Patrol set up in the forbidden areas. Keep to yourself, do nothing to stand out, and you will be okay.

"book stores". Judging by their appearance they most likely have a few adult things for sale.
And?... porn books and CDs are off limits too? Damn maybe even the Iranian and Saudi armies are more loose now :D

Apparently the US military does not want service members to have access to sex toys.

As far as i know, Kabukicho or Yoshiwara had never been on the off limits list, Tokyo,Yokohama and kawasaki are off-limits now because of Corona. The military usually does not care if you go in a "licensed" Bathouse under japanese law as long as you don't cause trouble with the locals,Rape,Murder or some Logan Paul shit. Right now though since there's a US travel ban i wouldn't recommend being out on the off-limits areas unless you're a fair-skinned asian-american that dresses like you're from Japan,Korea or Los Angeles then you're basically invisible in public lol

Yeah, if the canon fodder would be sexually satisfied they would fight less aggressively.

Also there would be nobody for the top brass to fuck at the base.

The Kadena list is five years old, and includes a haunted, abandoned hotel. I'm guessing some of the other no-go places aren't so titillating either.

That depends on what you look like. If you're a tall, white, gymrat jarhead in tight training shorts and tight UA shirt with flags on your sleeves and Punisher tats on your forearms you should probably stay away from the restricted areas. A friend of mine was dating a marine O-3 who I was told got court-martialed and OTH discharged after being busted at a brothel. Don't know if they come down as hard on enlisted men but I'd rather not find out.

Best bet is use a delivery service, and it would help if you can speak enough Japanese to set that up. I doubt nosy MPs patrol the love hotel areas as frequently as actual red-light districts and even if they did, they couldn't bust into every room until they found you. In case you don't know how that works, do a search here and find a good company/provider. Check into a hotel, call the service with your room number, they send the girl over, have her leave ten minutes before you do after the show's over.

And looking incognito (Asian) doesn't always work, particularly around military bases in rural areas. I know I like to brag about being able to disappear in a crowd, which is usually the case, but that's not a guarantee. I remember once wandering down to Iwakuni (don't ask why) and walking along the water, killing time. This old-timer rides up on his bike and starts yelling at me to go back to the base. I kept insisting I'm a tourist but I guess my tight Levi's jeans, cowboy boots, Ray Bans and leather bomber jacket stink of something that gives him flashbacks of mushroom clouds and the USS Missouri. And I don't know if there are any brothels in Iwakuni, or what sort of abominations you might find there if they do exist, but you can bet if that asshole caught me trying to haggle with the mamasan at his favorite joint he'd for sure try turning me in to the nearest MP.
