Ishigaki

I went in March this year and while the island was great, the p4p options were disappointing. Most of the deriheru sites had a "no foreigners" policy mentioned on their websites so I didn't even bother calling.

There is somewhat of a "red light district" in Misakicho which is just a few minutes walk from the main port. It's really just a street of kyabakura joints which aren't my thing.

As for Kamikaze, I believe they just operate on the main island out of Naha.

You'll have a great time regardless and you can save those pennies for some action when you get back.

There must be a bunch of Chinese ‘relaxation’ message places down a back street somewhere. Seek and you will find.

Personally I’ve found Ishigaki much more difficult than Miyako.

but maybe that’s cos we stay at club med up in Kabira.

Ive walked around the port and surrounding area at night (like any good sailor does) but didn’t find much.

When I was catching the ferry from ishigaki to Taketomi Island I was sitting near a couple of middle aged J guys who were clearly taking a couple of kyabakura girls they'd met the night before over to the island for the day. Couldn't help but eavesdrop.

That could be one approach I guess but you're still ultimately paying in one way or another!

Just out of curiosity, I checked Doki Poke, a Japanese site about nightlife in the prefecture. However, I didn't notice anything listed for either Ishigaki or Miyako. The site's focus is on the main island of Okinawa.

Well, it is a tiny place. So tiny that when I visited years ago the local guys at the bar told me they have really wild nightlife in there but unfortunately at that time she was visiting her parents at the main island.

I went to Ishigaki last year and just before I went, my lady friend and I separated. I still wanted to enjoy the trip and I put my new found circumstances on OkCupid and Tinder, I found someone who was willing to go for an all-expenses-paid trip on OKC. Wasn't the girl of my dreams, but since I had already paid for everything, got most out of my 5-day vacation. Also, to note, I booked through Rakuten Travels and it was a bitch (understandably) to change the name of the passenger. It cost me an additional 30,000 yen to my 288K package. Maybe this is too late, but if it's not, you can try what I did - there were a lot of responses. Luckily, I clicked with my fill-in date. Also, to clarify, outside of food and hotel, there was no exchange of money or additional fees that she had asked for. But we did meet at a coffee shop twice before departure.
