Topics for an Indie's blog?

Errr ... your blog? Isnt that the purpose of this thread?
But I get it : I just re-read your initial post because I was not so sure either, and indeed you just said you wanted ideas for posts, not feedback on them.
Ops! In stricto sensu, you are right. Let’s keep the focus. (n) ... Here my three cents...
1. Why/How I become an escort in Japan.
2. Differences between Japan and overseas for an escort.
3. Do escorts pay taxes?

How about 'what sex is really like with the average guy'....

I mean, as guys we hear about or see sex from:
porn
our 'real' sexual partners
our P4P sexual partners
friends / random people in the pub over-sharing.

these are all unreliable sources.

porn - unrealistic expectations
'real' sexual partners - you are lucky if you have the kind of relationship where you can honestly, openly and candidly give 'feedback'
p4p sexual partners - there's a lot of flattery involved there, so unlikely you are getting to know your strengths / weaknesses / where you really stand.
friends / randoms - could just be bullshitting

So, as an escort, in an anonymous way you can spill the beans. Whats good, what's bad, how long does the average guy really last. what are they typically good at or not good at, general sexual advice for everyone based on what you know given your unique insight into how a lot of guys perform.

@Joe2017
Sorry I was just confused as to what me being aggressive had to do with help aha. It seemed an odd thing to quote.

Topic suggestions are what I'm looking for. Obviously criticisms are welcome but certain things I'll be taking with a grain of salt

I was definitely planning on writing something like this. I think it helps demystify the ideas men get from porn. Not every bang needs to consist of a 30 minute non stop pounding. There are awkward moments, water breaks and struggles keeping it up.

I've already decided on the 2nd blog posts topic but this will likely be the 3rd

3. Do escorts pay taxes?

Even I can answer this one: some do, some don't. Just like with any other freelance job which you get to do without writing receipts.

My gibberish aside, I think you already have a plenty of idea to write down for your blog. Looking forward to reading more of them!

Of course privacy is key but I'll be including some of my least favorable client experiences, in the hopes of teaching potential clients what not to do AND driving away any that would display similar behavior.

which in real life ... might or might NOT work

I wonder if you could do interviews or even less formal chats with Other providers, especially japanese. I think all of us realize that the japanese psyche, especially concerning sex and intimacy, is different, and maybe you could get at explanations better than we can

@Frenchy @Simonka

Thank you both for the inspiration! I decided to write my first post about Daddy Issues

I'll keep checking this thread for other topic suggestions as well :)
You will not touch people until you find your own authentic voice. What you have done here is far from that.

It takes time and and a lot writing ( except for the few naturally born geniuses). In the beginning you will always Imitate somebody’s else voice or what you believe is “professional writing”.

The difference between you and the other lady (I’m a bit drunk and too lazy to look up her name) is vast. She has a voice, you don’t — yet.

I have been in this business for many years (not in English, however). We have all been through it. Years of refusals and copy editors killing your most brilliant copy.

I just want to say, what you wrote is not good enough to make an impact. But you want something and you are willing to take the risk.

Writing is a lonely and naked business. It’s not bad for a start. Keep writing and you will find your voice. Good luck.

Thank you "Lars Lust" for your condescending and unsolicited opinion. In terms of "making an impact" please see my previous comments for my primary reasons for doing this. I'm not trying to change the world here.

Yes. It’s hard enough to get up and change underwear in the morning (maybe not for you now, but sadly it happened or will happen to all of us)... changing the world is best left to the Bill Gates and Mother Theresas.

another topic idea : escorting vs sugaring

The much anticipated and much delayed second post has arrived!
Why Are Independent Escorts so Expensive?

My initial idea for a second blog post ended up being quite a heavy and somber affair, so I pushed it to the backburner to produce something more light-hearted and numbers-focused. Aforementioned gloomy post will hopefully be published before the New Year; just need to summon the necessary will power to finish it off. In the meantime, enjoy the above calculations ;)

Very insightful! I definitely do ask engineers for discounts though. Those guys dont even need to wax.

Yeah I tried very hard to think of a profession that people don't ask for discounts but had quite a difficult time! I'm sure there are many courageous souls out there that have asked for a discount on just about anything.

I have no idea what the somber topic will be, but I anticipate it nonetheless. I like how you write of the stress involved. It really is tiring to be on edge for so long. Hopefully you are no worrying so much with repeat clients, but I can for sure see how nerve wracking it could be to see someone for the first time.

I remember speaking with Manami after a session, and we spoke of the gift I had given her. She asked “how did you know I wanted that (expensive AF perfume)?” I told her I read her website which was not only how I knew what to give, but also what not to give (chocolate, wine). She expressed surprise that I had actually read her site. Must be frustrating to encounter clients that are not prepared.

Also, nice shout out to underwater welders.

Dentist? I wouldn’t ask my dentist for a discount.

I would definitely say that with each time I meet a client and it goes well, my anxiety lessens for the next time. However there have been times that regulars have really surprised me (not in the nice way), that got my hackles raised..which of course bleeds into a raised sense of alertness with all regulars.

And absolutely, underwater welder was the most badass job I could think of:

This is something straight out of a sci-fi movie!

Interesting Read...
May be wrong, but I presume you pay taxes on your regular income, and pocket the cash from escorting ( I sure would if some one would pay me for sex).
Totally get the stress, danger involved, but if the government is not taking 30-40% of whatever you make, and it's only taking you about 24 hours (6 hours per high end customer). It's a pretty good return if it's a full time job. As you're working full time at another job, I imagine 24 hours a month is a pain in the ass.

People asking for discounts suck. My staff smile nicely and say "sorry but no", but they do give the customer the middle finger under the counter. Childish, but somewhat satisfying.

Nobody with half a brain ever asks for a discount from a dentist - they'll make up the loss by using less novocaine.

Not too smart to ask for a discount from a tattoo artist either. They can turn up the speed on the machine and make it hurt a LOT more.

I’ve spent a bit over ¥300.000 on full body IPL hair removal, but I love the results. Worth it on the long run. I think I’ve invested about 1 million yen in my appearance excluding hair salon, manicures, skincare and facials! (If I was college age I would spend it on something less superficial, like education of course but I already have a degree.. and I’m ready to splurge :D) As a result, 2020 Simona looks like the more attractive sister of 2018-19 Simona.

The photoshoot prices you’ve listed are pretty expensive between ¥40k - ¥70k for Japan. It should be wrapped up at around ¥20k I think, but you end up paying extra for the location as well. (An extra 10k for a high end love hotel)

Did you list gym? Maybe I’ve missed that. Personal trainers can be VERY expensive too. Fitness classes are a bit more affordable.

Regarding outfits I am grateful for a couple of generous clients who helped me with my wardrobe makeover and lingerie, and I receive perfumes & lotions regularly.. At least I didn’t have to pay much for those, lol.
