I was there not too long ago but I can't remember about this part... but the website says that part of each room's standard equipment is "Smart Phone Audio" - which leads me to believe that you can play your phone's audio into the room. Not sure if my title question is even relevant, but ..can I use my iPhone to play content on the room monitor and speakers at Hotel Sara in Kinshicho? especially want to play my music through the room sound systems. Again, and..again, much thanks in advance.
thanks, yes, the website does say that but nothing happened when I tried airplay function... I asked the staffer in the lobby but couldn't understand her explanation, due to my shitty Japanese. This lockdown has got me obsessing about such things ...I was there not too long ago but I can't remember about this part... but the website says that part of each room's standard equipment is "Smart Phone Audio" - which leads me to believe that you can play your phone's audio into the room.
Yeah, I don't think Airplay works. I think you actually need to plug into something. We were planning to stop by there again after some akiba shopping, but that may happen after your event. Anyway, I'll update this once we visit there again either way.thanks, yes, the website does say that but nothing happened when I tried airplay function... That would be much appreciated! Ala willing, I hope to be playing at Sara many times after the upcoming one. Thinking it may be an Android only situation or I need some kind of adapter.Yeah, I don't think Airplay works. I think you actually need to plug into something. Thanks. That sounds familiar, I'll still report back if we make it there. (We were talking about going early this week)Most of those systems are run via Miracast, and will support Android or Windows devices only. Apple won’t get on board because they want to push their own solution.
Workaround is to use an HDMI adapter.
Thanks. I didn't want to hear that, lol, but, alas, I will toss "the cable" as I have dubbed my HDMI in my bag. I'll report afterward. Much obliged! I checked the room specs and on the homepage for that room and with you input, I can almost make sense out of the other room specs. Very very very helpful for this moron.FWIW, Room #601 had a 3.5mm plug for a device. Plug the device in > turn on the audio with the TV control > Audio in the room.
Sure thing. Just an additional note for that room, the plug was hanging off the side of the room control panel at the head of the bed. (Just to the side of the USB charger ports)Much obliged! It's probably the same for other rooms, just a guess.

Think this "do-dad" will do the the trick?
