The name Style Free confused me. At first, I wrongly thought it was nonalcoholic like some of those “zero” beers. Rather, the Free part means it’s free of sugar. Still not sure what the Style part is about. Maybe it’s supposed to resemble a regular Asahi brew?

can you imagine your USAF jets back in the days decorated like that?
The USAF has never really painted their aircraft in any special way. Aside from the Thunderbirds that is. The US Navy, however, back in the 70s and early 80s really had some nice looking birds.

The USAF has never really painted their aircraft in any special way. Aside from the Thunderbirds that is. The US Navy, however, back in the 70s and early 80s really had some nice looking birds.
At one point in my life, I lived close to a Naval Air Station and got to see the F-14's flying regularly. I can't recall the paint schemes (mostly grey IIRC) but I remember seeing pictures of the type you posted here.

That particular squadron was an inspiration to the creators of Macross. It was also in the movie The Final Countdown.
