Hmmm. I saw a line of people on NHK 7pm news tonight in a “food line” not far from the Uguisudani area, so I don’t doubt others are out hoping for “help” across the country.

27 y.o. female primary school teacher got arrested under touting a man on the street.
Other sites say around Okubo park in Kabukicho is a popular spot for them to get a client.

Do you think you see more street workers these days than before covid?

I think maybe they stand out more because there's fewer people in the area these days, and they're getting more attention because the police have less to do.

I'm curious as to the legality of the arrest, though.... does a plainclothes cop trolling for solicitations count as an undercover operation?

Undercover ops are still illegal last I looked, and the case SHOULD be thrown out... likely why there was no prosecution.

Seems they're just engaging in illegal arrests and informing employers.... utter scum.

Hello all,

Slightly different topic but kind of the same idea. I recently got solicited by a Japanese girl on Tinder that was offering sexual services for a fee. She indeed sounded like an amateur, unprofessional and I guess therefore not so good at selling these kind of services.

I'm used to scammers there and the classic "add me on Line" bullshit but she indeed sounded very Japanese and her message looked sort of amateurish/genuine. I had never seen such a thing on that app. The only problem is that even though I politely declined, I got banned from the app. Not a big deal but what I just read made me think about that particular story!

Be safe!

Damn and a school teacher wish it was me.

There are more women standing around the hospital and the park these days, not sure it's because of the economy or something. The police started patrolling more often since the beginning of this year, but they couldn't get rid of the people completely. There were 2 African women sometimes sitting around Kabukicho near APA or near the park, and there were 1 French woman often carrying luggage. Their rate is around 10.000 to 15.000 per pop.

Well bruh you can be the hero and marry the Japanese girl orrrrr I don't know.

Did you read the post? I don't think you did.
A Japanese street worker from what I heard before is a signal for very bad times ahead(they are usually foreign), Corona isn't going anywhere soon and people aren't going to speed up on travel. I believe I'll have a 2ldk or 3 when I arrive in Tokyo. Therefore, I'll do my part to maintain two girl-friends, it is better option than prostitute on street. Japanese onna is of a higher class and dignity I believe. Extremely good food and decent place, they will live like queen.....on a budget of course.

Budget-2 Gf's A thousand or 700 for food a month, Luxury room, cable etc.
Boat rental sometimes
Vacations
Of course we will have fun during Corona cuddle up time ⌚
I only will wear a suit and like fine food and gym therefore I'm low maintenance.
Shopping is to be determined.

-I only wish to follow tradition.

Yes. Their numbers are fewer, as there are fewer marks for them to target, but they're still very much there.

Walked through the hood two days ago and felt the opposite. More of them with fewer people to approach so I was getting bombarded like a walk though Soi Cowboy. They followed me further even after I firmly declined multiple times. One by the basement Hub made a comment about my watch and said he could take it if he wanted to. Bad juju for sure.

Sorry for your troubles. And not happy to hear their numbers are rising again.

Insane they arrest a woman trying to make some money but ignore the Nigerian scammers that litter Kabukicho...
I was approached by a foreign woman (asian possibly South Eastern) near Shin-Okubo. I have seen a couple of women standing around there late at night and usually they just approach with a word or two.

The scammers pay bribes to be allowed to freely operate.

Independent streetwalkers don't.
