Hi all, long time no see. Hope everyone has been well. So I have a friend coming in to spend a couple weeks with me and we were gonna goof around in Tokyo for a couple days. I was wondering if anyone knew of any strip clubs around with some high quality ladies in them around the city. Cant be ludicrously pricey, but bargain basement with not so good looking gals wouldn't be good either. I just though I'd see if y'all had any suggestions or places to shy away from because of scams or trouble or whatever.

Also of note, I have middle to low range Japanese conversation ability if that makes a difference (complex compound sentences are beyond me). My friend will have none.

Thanks in advance! :)

If you're looking for the "traditional" strip theatre, the New Art in Shinjuku is still going strong, an isn't all that well known to the Chinese tourist crowd. I don't have anything against the Chinese tourists, per se, but they do tend to arrive in crowds.

Bonus: Right next to Golden Gai and a fun little one-coin bar.

strip theater? please elaborate.

You pay admission (usually 5K yen), there's no tipping inside, and drinks are beer from a vending machine or BYOB.

Inside, there's a central stage with cattwalk and rotating platform, and theatre seating about 3 rows deep on all sides of the catwalk.

The girls on the roster will usually do each do a three song rotation, one song clothed with a little tease, one song in nightwear, gradually stripping to nothing, and one song nude, mostly posing on the rotating platform.

Some girls make use of props, costumes, or occasionally you'll get a duo. Sometimes you'll get an S&M performer doing interesting things to herself with candle wax.

In between sets, the girls will come out for polaroid opportunities - 500 yen a pop using their polaroid camera, any pose you like.

Other than maybe a handshake when you purchase a photo, there's no touching and no back room services.

Ohhhh ok. I went to something like this in Kyoto one time. not quite the same but similar. I think it was an ama night too. girls would come out (usually in some kind of mask) and then have a little show on the stage where they'd dance a little and rotate around in various states of undress. In between they'd have little "games" where guys would line up for something like 90 seconds of looking at a girl with a magnifying glass. I'd never seen anything like it so I found it quite interesting.

Anyway, thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. If you think of any others feel free to toss them out. I've still got a bit more time before my friend comes.

you can add TS music and DX kabuchiko, as well as one in Shibuya.
Well reviewed elsewhere on this board.

TS Music is on the "attractions" list of a host of Chinese tour guide agencies, which has led to it getting a lot of LE attention and a few busts.
Can you be more precise about the "bust"? I have been going there quite regularly and never saw anything beyond the permitted rules, ...Maye I missed something?

I linked to a report of one above. The charge was public indecency.

For those interested, here are all the places mentioned in this thread, with websites and map links:
There's also one in Ueno (no website) and Rockza in Asakusa, though the latter is a bit far from the beaten path.

The websites have discount coupons which you can claim simply by showing them on your phone. Ladies and seniors often get discounts too.

But yeah, these are all strip THEATERS, not strip clubs. It can get a bit boring if you're expecting something else.

Yes strip clubs in Tokyo aren't strip clubs anymore. It's mainly ladies dancing on stage in sexy underwear & not even topless.

They look like more of an idol type thing. Lots of teasing and mostly catering to guys who become a fan of a certain girl and want to buy lots of pictures of her. Maybe like a gravure version of a maid cafe? The New Art website has pictures of girls with their boobs out so that's maybe a positive. Some of the girls look pretty cute.

Nope. In all those places mentioned above, the girls are getting fully naked and give every guy in the room a close view of their pussy with their legs spread eagle. You cannot see more without using endoscopy...

@Desktop is apparently talking about the classical Western-style strip clubs such as 7th Heaven and Tantra (and others) in Roppongi which are as he describes. Aside from (expensive) private dances, they are now quite tame, lame and dull due to ever increasing restrictive regulation. In the past they could be (expensive) great fun.

Yep, it's all about "buy me drinks" and "buy a private dance". To be fair, the girls on stage aren't making any money while they're up there. I know a few Australian ladies who are working at some of the clubs, and they only get paid when a customer splashes out for a drink or a dance.

Not at all! That loosely describes the first act, maybe, but by the end of a dancer's rotation it's all full nudity and views that are usually only afforded to people with a medical degree and a gynecology practice.

Anyone know if the joint in Ueno allowed foreigners? I saw it last night when I walked around for a bit.

One way to find out. Just try and walk in.

Never been to that particular place, but these places are not really anti-gaijin.

Do you know if they allow women?
I've been to such shows in Europe (more spectacular though, they do fucking on stage and acts with things like candles and bananas and whatever), i really like those.

I took a Japanese date to one a few years ago...actually more like she took me.

There have been women in the audience every time I've been, so that's not an issue.

I've never seen actual sex on stage, but have seen phallic objects (and other things!) put to good use on occasion, including one lady who did an entire solo SM show using a variety of candles.

When was this? I also recall a lot of weird things, including P...ing, and FS on stage, but that was probably 10 years ago. Did not find this-since. The last place was the Kogane theater in Yokohama, some 3-5 years ago, where you could queue to get a BJ by the performer behind the curtains between each item. This one closed soon after my last visit.. ( Not because of me, I presume...)
