Horror Movie Favorites?

Haven't seen it in a long while, but the movie that used to scare me the most for some reason was The Exorcist 3, if you haven't seen it you should check it out. It's really creepy and really underrated in my opinion.

YES! Hallway scene lulls you to sleep before......Marching figure in white sheet. Giant autopsy scissors. FFFUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKK....

(Or how about grandma scittering on the ceiling while grinning like a maniac?)

Disturbing imagery is more effective than blood and guts in my book.

Im not personally a horror movie fan, but a marilyn manson music video always gave me nightmares

Little Shop of Horrors :)

The '80s remake of that was amazing as well, even though I don't generally care for musicals.

"Yoooooooooou'll be a dentist...." :D

The original is up on Youtube for anyone who hasn't seen it.

A 1973 tele-movie "The Norliss Tapes" scared the suitcases outta me when I was a teenager. Just googling it now and it is free on Youtube. Might just watch it now.

Must have been an impressionable lad... my suitcases just arrived.

Maybe most people have watched it but in case someone hasn't:
Don't watch se7en (seven) if you are an SW or a monger.
It can be pretty disturbing and although interesting the whole movie has a very sad vibe with an unhappy ending.

One of the best movies of all time, the SW/monger related thing you are referring to is never actually shown,
only mentioned so I don't think it warrants a don't watch recommendation based on that, even though it is a disturbing idea.
Also I would class it as a thriller more than horror.

Don't you have an imagination?
It haunted me quite a bit during work!

Plus i'm tired of how overdramatic sex work is portrayed in the media and calling someone a "disease spreading whore who is not innocent and deserves to die" and then after claiming everyone wasn't innocent and deserved it it came out he murdered some innocent people anyway? Not intregued by the simply asshole killer.

I'm not against dark thrillers but this one didn't catch me like "shutters island" for example and just made me uncomfortable and grumpy.

And to be the fact that the victims were barely shown and the lack of personal information (especially about the victim of vain) made it less interesting, although also less gore of course.

Just a difference in taste though but if you are sensitive about those American shows talking SW as easy and sensational victims or you have an imagination in which you apply movie content directly to your life (i mentioned before almost not wanting children anymore after watching certain movies), and this goes to mongers as well because a monger is involved closely, then i wouldn't watch it.

Just watching the Masters of Horror now, fancy a bit of quiet night after a late one last night. Watched the first one, quite good, and available on youtube which is nice as I get to try out streaming it to the TV with the lights out.

Don't normally get to watch horrors, but I'm alone this weekend so get to watch what I want on the TV.

If you feel lonely just turn the lights off and put a horror movie on.
After a while you'll feel like you are not alone anymore...

Sam Raimi's Evil Dead I & II, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) are a few of my favs no ones mentioned yet. "Mama" wasn't bad either.
