I'm just walking around the streets of Kabikicho just now, and I was declining touts left and right, then this one tall fellow in a black suit walked beside me up until to the end of the street. Of course, my creep-signal was alarming, so I stopped and said "Yep?" I thought he would leave me alone if I let him know i was a gaijin (since I looked like an okinawan or a bit tanned japanase guy.) To my surprise he talked good english and asked me, "You know what this area is, right? You do know its a red-light district?"

This guy was a bit fierce-looking, much like a resting bitch face, so I entertained him and stopped walking. I was about 50~70% sure he was involved with the Yakuza, and I want no trouble, so I answered him, "yeah, i know this is a red light district, but i'm just passing by, looking for a place to eat."

"This is a red light district, you won't find any restaurants here..." then he implied to me the only thing you eat here is pussy.

"Yeah, but i'm waiting for someone and we're going out to eat"

"If you're waiting you can spend you time here"

Now I was curious to why this man is hard-selling me, so I asked what shop he's touting for.

"We are recommending for different shops. We can recommend you to soaplands, pink parlours, whatever you want. See, we're a company who is encouraging foreigners to have a taste of japanese girls."

"Company? What is your company name?" Asking this sent a shiver in my spine, as he might think i'm with the cops and I'll be slashed apart and thrown in the Arakawa river.

"We are KKK"

Nanni!? The white supremacists have extended their hands into japan?!

"Its KKK because i'm Kei, and one of my partners is Keitaro..." I didn't want him to tell me what the third one's name is because he might say Kojiro, Kojiro Sasaki, named after the legendary samurai, and since you know too much he will kill you and send you to your family in pieces (that was an internal monologue)

So then after a few more dialouges, i insisted that I must go but I'll be back if I need servicing again. Thankfully he let me go with that. After a few street turns, i checked my stuff if it was a modus of sorts of theives here or something. Thankfully nothing was missing.

So, TAG, have you heard of this "KKK" group? Are they reliable? Are they yakuzas? How many people have they sunk in Tokyo bay?

True story bro.

KKK, are you serious? That's his company name?

Whatever the true story is, you really need to do some reserch before naming something important that you will carry for long time.
e.g. I have a friend whose family name is 大草(Okusa). When she had a baby girl, she wanted to name her "Ai(愛)" She wrote it down the full name in Hiragana because you write names in Hiragana only in day-care and kindergarten. Then she realized it would be おおくさあい(oh it is stinky!) so she named her something else.

Ookusakai? Need to research that. Though the entirety of that story is true, i swear.

One of the biggest transport companies in Japan is 国際興業株式会社 (Kokusai Kogyo Kabushikigaisha), who for decades were known as KKK. They switched their shorthand moniker to KKC years ago after the correlation was brought to their attention.

And as to whether or not your tout was a yakuza or not... you do realise that "yakuza" can mean anything form an ill tempered little sociopath in a flash suit to to yatai guy on the corner* slinging ramen to the guys running the games at your neighbourhood festival, right? Even with that, chances are if the guy's trying to hustle foreigners on the streets, he's independent, and just paying bakshish to the actual yaks.

*(Yatai and festival booths are, as purely cash businesses, popular money laundering fronts.)

...Or the company that waters and swaps out the potted plants in your office.
...Or the company that washes the floor mats at the entrance of your building..
...Or the company that publishes the unread 'trade magazine' in a rack in the waiting room.

Just got scammed tonight. Touts near Casablanca.

Showed me photos to choose. Said that as a foreigner i can't enter the cub. Gave 15,000¥ for 1 hour service to get a girl name Yoyo. When we reach a club building, he ask for another 30,000¥ as deposit to endure i used condom, stay within the time and don't hurt the girl. I will get my deposit after finish from the girl . I disliked the deposit. He made a call on phone, spoke in Mandarin and said the girl already waiting. He passed the phone to me and a gut spoke better English. He apologise as its club rules for first timers.

So i gave the tout the deposit
He lead me to another building and to lift
Asked me to go to room 417. When the lift came he did not follow me. At 4th floor, the only clubs were small clubs like snookers. Maybe building 11 or 12 if Kabukicho.

Found police near Toho cinema who roughly explain my money is gone. A legitimate club would have a menu. Since he can't speak English, he can't help me.

I walked around the area and found another female tout with the same line, " you want Japanese girl massage and sec? 20,000 only. "
I replied " how can i trust you? Just paid 45,000¥ but no girl. The cheater maybe from China." She glared at me snd walk off.

Sorry to hear you learned an expensive lesson. :(

Never follow touts.:stop: Ever.

If somebody approaches you on the street and tries to get you to give them that amount of money then why would you do it? Anybody standing on the streets with photos is at the very least bullshitting you into a bait and switch. At most you'll be scammed out of a lot of money so why risk it? Only use services with a website, menu and those that are clear about what you'll pay without adding on random charges after you arrive. Don't let anyone drag you off the street to some random building, stick to places that have a legit store front you can walk into, see a menu and talk to somebody about the cost and the girls that are available before handing anything over. If any girl seems available to a foreigner who can't speak Japanese it's probably, definitely not legit.

Yes. Never ever ever follow the touts. Ever. When I first moved here I fell for the "Handjob blowjob massage 5000 yen" scam in Shibuya. It definitely wasn't worth it.
