Way back in the early later half the 80s & 90s I was pretty good friends/housemates with some bisexual and homosexual men and this topic always came up in conversation with either them asking why I only liked pussy or me asking why they only liked cock or why they liked cock and pussy. Clearly a lot of women have a curiosity about male gay sex. It's called fujoshi or kifujin in Japan, where such women read books and comics about gay love or go to gay clubs.
It appears the attraction is partially rooted in seeing if they can seduce gay men to try women. It seems a bit illogical, because if gay men liked women, they wouldn't be gay or arguably would be bi-sexual.
As for anal sex, some women appear to have a masculine perspective to it. In men, to be the anal receiver, can be seen as the weaker man or feminine. To treat a man as if a woman. As a man who has been in a number of 3ps with 2 women, it's not an issue for heterosexual men, as no threat to his masculinity. I think most men, rightly or wrongly, via lesbian sex as lacking or just oral satisfaction. Meaning, men can think there is plenty of room to add penis. A woman I've known for a long time and whose opinion I trust explained that there is another form of interest in these books & comics. It allows women to fantasize about men in a completely non threatening way because the homosexual won't make any sexual demands of women in the story. Indeed there is also a motive about fantasizing about "turning" a homosexual man, but that may or may not be the most popular motive for women to read these stories.

Seems odd, because any character in a book or comic, can't make any actual sexual demands on women. They are fictional characters. Women choose to buy or read them. I don't see why women would be threatened by male heterosexual characters, because romance novels for examples, are vastly more popular. In many cases, the stories are specifically written for women (and few men seem to read them), so that the woman is directly or indirectly in control or clearly desires the interaction.
When I've talked to women, that go to gay clubs, I've brought up the logic and reasoning behind it. They often claim to be physically attracted to feminine looking or effeminate guys, besides general curiosity. But often there is a certain amount of confusion, where they express wanting conflicting traits.
When going further, it appears they want to feel comfortable with (or enjoy the fantasy of) exerting control or dominance over such guys or want the sense of accomplishment in "winning" the attention/converting such guys.
This fantasy of converting over others is common with heterosexual, transsexuals, and gay men too. For example the heterosexual guy that thinks (or fantasizes that) he can make a lesbian switch over by giving her good penis. Then there is the gay guys who think they can convert straight males to liking gay sex. Lesbian women who want to convince straight women to let them have a go.

Romance novels fill a different "need" according to my previously mentioned friend. The men in romance novels are more likely to be handsome than pretty. They clearly want the main woman in the book, or can be obtained by the main woman in the book. They won't force their demands, (unless of course she really wants them to) and never demand sex when she has a headache, isn't in the mood, isn't ready yet, etc. etc. etc. Of course not because the romance hero is just as much a projection of feminine desire as the man on man characters but in a different way.

People can do horrible stuff in general, that's not specific to a gender. The concept of a heterosexual guy asking or wanting sex is "horrible", arguably comes from sexually repressed (often religious or traditional issues with sex in general) or man-hating feminist types. That a man they consider beneath them says "hello", can be considered sexual harassment or a sexual assault.
And sometimes men will be infected with this negative thinking, where they even feel guilty for having normal heterosexual desires or making sexual requests. "I'm sorry that I have a penis and wish to penetrate a vagina." "I'm ashamed of being a man." A lot of this game is one of control and special privileges. Instead of physical strength to directly dominate, it's using male sexual desire against them, for indirect control and advantage.
However, gay men present a problem, as they don't usually sexually desire women. So this appears to become a test or like forbidden fruit. Can gay men succumb to feminine charms too? It's not unlike heterosexual men who think the right penis or man will convert over a lesbian. Beyond just masturbation fantasy, if a woman does manage to seduce a gay man, what has she accomplished except maybe prove he's bisexual or was drunk?
If she forms a relationship with a gay man, all that goes along with heterosexual relationships will now apply. If I date a woman who was a lesbian or bisexual, it makes her no less a woman.
And a lot comes along with relationships in general. For example- lesbians fight (in fact their domestic abuse rate is higher than heterosexuals), demand/request sex from each other, break up, get jealous, cheat, etc... There is no escaping the reality of relationships, once you seek or have entered one.
