Your Go-to Drink

I can't resist a good whiskey cocktail.

A Manhattan, made with a good whiskey, sweet vermouth and just a dash of dry vermouth, a real cherry, stirred with large cubes of ice and served straight up in a chilled cocktail glass - we're off to the races.

I've been perfecting my home-made martinis with a bottle of Tanqueray gin; I'm at the last few measures already. I can see why you enjoy this gin - excellent taste, both of you - although I enjoy some Hendrick's as well.

Beer if alcoholic, I don't drink stronger alcohol anymore.

Calpis and Matcha Latte if non-alcoholic. Starbucks makes a fortune off me during my visits to Japan

That may be something I should think about. Changing name according to season :D next would be Anna Autmn haha

There is a restaurant on Park Avenue in NYC that serves "seasonal fare" and does this.

Somebody introduced me to a High ball drink in the karaoke booth when I was in Japan a few months ago. I really liked it, but I am not sure what was in it as it got me tipsy after three drinks.

Highballs usually consist of whiskey and soda water, served on the rocks.
Of course, you can substitute the whiskey for something else, but I like a traditional highball. They do get you wasted pretty fast if you drink them quickly.

Pineapple juice or orange

I'm boring I know

You, boring, never!

By the way, I picked pineapples during the summer when I was in high school. It was on the island of Lanai back when it was owned by the Dole Pineapple Company. Hardest job I have ever had. The best crew was comprised of old Japanese women. I was lucky/unlucky to be picked for their crew. We always made bonuses, but it was so brutal to keep up with them.

Tastiest pineapples I've ever had!

And thus started your foray into the hobby and the predisposition for Japanese women ;)

Masala tea if I can find it... I am one of the few people who goes to Starbucks and orders tea :)

90% of the time I just go for black coffee. There's a chain of roasters around Tokyo called Yanaka Coffee that has about 20~30 varieties of green coffee beans available and you just let them know the weight and bean you want and then pick your roast and grind level and they roast it on-site and have it ready in 15 minutes or so. Its amazing... I like Asian beans (Sumatra, Thai, etc) which usually require a pretty heavy full city roast but most of the places that have things pre-roasted don't go that heavy and the coffee ends up being a bit more light and acidic than I prefer.

Other than that, usually Wilkinson's soda water or just regular old water although chai or Vietnamese coffee is also rad.

Back when I used to drink my favorite go-to was Bullett Rye on the rocks or Maker's Mark if I was out.
