Anyone here have Hispanic friends in Japan? Last time I went I didn't meet one hispanic. I went to all these mexican restaurants and no luck lol. I only met a Japanese girl that spoke decent spanish, which was pretty cool lol.

Please tell us the names of the Mexican restaurants, with a short review.

Well uhh, I don't remember haha. This was like 2 months ago. I'm going back in a week or so. I will defenitely do a little more digging before I go though. I can say the restaurants that I visited were in the roppongi area

I don't have 100% Hispanic friends, and I'd imagine them to be slightly hard to find in Tokyo.. but if you go to the near countryside (like Saitama and Gunma).. it won't take that long to bump into Peruvian-Japanese, Bolivian-Japanese, or Argentinian-Japanese people.

Especialmente si trabajas en una fabrica.

Hmmm thank you very much for the info miss.

Ah, si puedo imajinar eso. Somos trabajadores!

I think I also heard of a bachata club in Shinjuku. I will surely scout that out :pompous:
And of course, the places you have recommended (y)

Brazilian here! I'm friends with a lot of Latino community (expats and nikei I alike) as I'm not a Spanish speaker but Portuguese so I couldn't say where to go, but a lot if the Brazilian restaurants etc. bring the brazilians lol

That's good enough dude lol. Brazilians are pretty cool. I've met a few back in the states. Haven't seen any recently though.

Oh yeah! I saw a few face book
There's a very large Salsa community in Tokyo that brings in Spanish & Portuguese speakers.
Hmm I do remember seeing a few facebook posts back then that were related to some Salsa. I should find them again.

There's a lot of us!
I'm from Central California, I only saw Mexicans, Puerto Ricanos and some Salvadorians lol. And a few Brazilians. I'm mexican, but some people mistake me for a Hawaiin, Filipino, Thai or Cambodian. I think I may be half Salvadorian, I never met my father but I think he is Salvadorian lol

I used to go to La Jolla in Hiro-o. It was not amazing, but after not having Mexican food for a couple of years, it hit the spot. I wouldn't go as far as to say it was authentic, but if you're in the area it's worth it.

Thanks for the post. I first went there in 1999 and your description is accurate!(y)

Police are looking for Hispanic shoplifters in Saitama. I imagine deportation soon.
