My co-worker is having marital issues and asked me if I knew any English speaking hostess/ snack pub girl, supposedly just to blow off some steam. He claims that he would talk to me but that since I know his wife, he doesn't feel comfortable. I mentioned this site but then he say he's not looking for sex, yeah.... He says he wants to pay to talk to someone who is not going to cross the line and make things worse in his marriage.

help the guy out
 
I'd suggest an English speaking marriage therapist. A hostess will comfort him but just try to get him to spend even more money on overpriced alcohol and unsubstantial conversation.

If talking directly to his wife is not a option (I prefer the direct approach to solving issues) I would say a bartender you guys know. Let's face it that is what they are there for, among other things. Depending on how busy the night is you might be able to talk to them the whole night, shit here where I live I know all my bartenders and they have shared in both my pain and joys in life since being here. Hostess bars are another good one. Do you have another friend that knows him and his situation? If so get them involved, though more people involved in a private manner might cause problems. His family is another good one, and I am kinda wondering as to why this was not put before him? Someone like a sibling, cousins, aunt's and uncles will do as parents though great sources of knowledge and advice will not tend at least to me give the proper advice as they will be more on the whole, "WHO HURT MY BABY?!" The last option of course is professional help.

Thank you on his behalf... I've passed on your comments and links, I'm not sure if he has called a therapist yet ( or will) but at least I was able to give him another option
