Some guys find screamers hot, others find them a turn off.
I'm one of the former and especially love it when it's AV style.

One of the best vintage JAV actress screamers was Nioka Chinam/二岡ちなみ.
She might not have been the prettiest actress, but her big bust, love for sex,
technique in bed, and loud moaning during penetration made her a cult favorite.

To each his own, but isn't there something hot about how some part of that act reflects the individuality of the actress in question?
Some part of her is naturally inclined to moan that way since I don't think there are classes on how to moan like that.

I hate to break this to you but 80% of the chihuahua sound is added post production. The remaining 20% is scripted.

Pretty much this. I think it would be fine if a partner got loud when she got really excited. I have a JP ex who was REALLY vocal, but she was loud from the moment we started fucking. It seemed a little fake to me.

I can usually deal with most JAV girls (sometimes by just turning the volume down!), but there's several that are otherwise amazing to watch that I just can't deal with their noise. Saki Tsuji is one that immediately comes to mind.

Big fan of vocalization but to to the point where it sounds blatantly fake or forced. Although there are sometimes where I'm in the mood to hear the really loud ones!

3. sometimes the audio doesn't even match between live sound and postproduction overdubbing. Different levels and sometimes obviously different women doing the voices.

Haha! Why would they do that? Because the actress can't moan well? But it seems that porn accepts the weirdest sounds. The director should just tell her to be loud, lol.

Because the expectation with the production staff is Japanese guys must like the sounds of small dogs being brutalised; "give the customer what they want".

Many years ago I met a group of Japanese guys who worked on the production side of JAV and this topic was one of the things we talked about. This was before everything was digital, one of the guys said he had a tape that he'd run over in post pro with extra moans if an actress wasn't available to do the overdubbing live. I guess now they just have a sample library.
