Maintenance 1/17/2017 - Scheduled Maintenance for 1/18/2017

We will be conducting some routine/preventive maintenance on the TAG website and supporting subsystems.

The maintenance is expected to begin at 11:00 AM JST on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

Pretty much every part of TAG is getting touched this time around and there may be some extended downtime during part of the maintenance period.

Expected completion time is 1:00 PM JST depending on how long certain parts of the work will last.

Along with preventive maintenance, updates and general housekeeping, we will be rolling out a number of bug fixes that have been piling up since November.

The border firewall is also being tuned once again and some of you may face temporary access issues depending on what country you are connecting from. If your access issue does not resolve itself, please file a support request via email at our helpdesk. (helpdesk@tokyoadultguide.com)

Changes & Updates from this maintenance:

Fix: Multiple display problems on mobile devices. In particular, stuck pop up menus for various functions.
Fix: Index errors on new accounts (~15% impact)
Fix: Push Alerts - Fixed a bug wherein under certain circumstances, user preference would be ignored. (Applies to Pushover users only.)
Fix: Broken URL's - Still don't know the root cause, but we have adjusted some of the handlers to better handle internal links.
Fix: Login Loop - Under certain circumstances, the famed login window loop would make a reappearance, testing shows that it has been fully restored now.
Fix: Private Messages/Conversations - Member accounts assigned certain rights would attain different attributes than some members of the same group.
Change: Editing time on posts has been extended, but not completely removed. Members have been granted additional editing time.
Change: Members will now see a warning message on threads that are dormant and have not seen a reply since a specified time period.
Change: Activity Module Activated - This system will enable/disable access privileges based on a measured amount of activity on the site. This is aimed at members who are granted special access but do not contribute. Those members would be automatically evaluated during each period.
Change: Moderator functions revised.

Known bugs since this this maintenance:

Server Issue - Under certain circumstances, the site will exhibit slow response to user activity.
Server Issue - Under certain circumstances, screen scrolling may appear to 'lock' in place.
Backup Issue - During the execution of the backup and mirroring operations, excessive load has been detected which in turn slows the site down at those specific times.
Bug - Menu bar exhibits erratic behavior by hiding itself wherein only a reload will bring it back.
