News 11/19/2014 - Maintenance & Updates Today (wednesday)

All,

We will be performing some maintenance on the site during the business day today (JST 11/19/2104).

During the maintenance you may experience:

- Server Not Found
- White/Blank Pages
- 404 or 503 HTTP Errors
- Board 'Closed' Message
- Graphical Display Issues

Once the maintenance is completed, if you are still experiencing issues, please clear your browser cache or force reload the main page to get a fresh copy of the site in your local cache.

Updates taking place today:

- Physical server updates (DB, OS, Network)
- Application Layer Updates (Interface, PHP)
- Patches for Ancillary Services
- Site Settings - Mainly around rejecting 'free email' or 'one-time use' email services.
- Adjustments to Warnings & Reporting System
- Secondary Front-End Server - Coming online.

End user functions should not change all that much, just minor tweaks and fixes that most people will not notice. If there are any issues, please report them accordingly.

Apologies, one additional point:

Karen is here with me today and we will also be flushing out the user data that is stale. (her job)

1) Confirmed Users with 0 posts that have not logged in for 400 days, will be deleted.
2) Unconfirmed users - users with invalid email addresses, but with 1 or more posts: Will be suspended.
3) Unconfirmed users - users that never confirmed their email address and 0 posts: Will be deleted.

The majority of the maintenance has been completed. There are some minor glitches, which we are fixing now but should not be noticeable to our visitors and members.

User account maintenance will continue until about 4pm JST (now: 2:41 PM JST)
