Today, we have updated our search tool with some small changes to help improve the search experience for our visitors and members.
1) Search Methodology: We have updated the analyzer with a new algorithm to help capture better and more accurate results. This should help capture some results that may have otherwise been ignored. The underlying search engine we use has also been upgraded with some significant improvements in addition to a slew of bug fixes that should fix some of the search errors that were seen by some members.
2) Search Setting (Default): In the previous version of our search tool settings, if you were viewing a specific section of the site and wanted to do a search, the tool would only search within that specific section by default. We have reversed this behavior so that when a search is conducted anywhere on the site, it will default to a GLOBAL view instead of a localized view to the section you were viewing at the time of the search.
