Note: The testing actually begun on 3/18/2016, but we never moved the announcement to the public news section.
----------------------------
All,
We will be publicly testing the latest revision to our ads platform. Previously, this has been only carried out on our test domain and local workstations. However, we will now push this out on the main site that you are browsing now.
Here is how this will work...
- Various types of ads will be tested.
- Ads may be visible from time to time, we will be applying different criteria for testing to see how things work in the real world.
- Display rules will be tested among different groups and types of users.
- Some ads will follow valid links, others will not. (none of the working links are paid advertisers, this is only for testing,)
- Errors may occur, but you need not report them unless it inhibits your browsing experience. (In theory, this should not happen...)
At this time, we are *NOT* asking for feedback. Nothing you see is has been fully decided upon. There may be a feedback period later, just not during this testing cycle.
The length of testing will be determined by results we observe after it has run for awhile.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
