We are happy to introduce the interface with "Pushover" - a system for delivering push alerts to your registered devices.
Their website: https://pushover.net/
iOS App: (here)
Android: (here)
Desktop: (here)
Pushover is not a free application but you can try it out for 7 days, for free! Moreover, TAG will be sponsoring free licenses to members who request them. Licenses for Pushover will be available from TAG management on June 13th or after. This will allow members to try out the trial version and then consider whether or not to seriously request a free license from TAG.
This application is NOT TAG specific and can be used with other sites that support it. (Please refer to Pushover's site for further details.) Furthermore, TAG does not receive, collect or store any information that used on this application, we just simply forward alerts to your selected device as selected in the user control panel.
Setup Process:
1) Download and install the application for your device(s). --OR-- simply begin at Pushover's site by creating a new account.
2) If you downloaded first, please go ahead and make the new account for Pushover (again, none of this info is available to TAG.)
3) Once you have the basics configured, please go to your user control panel to associate your device with mobile alerts. (Here: https://tokyoadultguide.com/account/external-accounts)
4) For additional control, you can specificy which types of alerts you want to receive from this page: https://tokyoadultguide.com/account/external-accounts/pushover/alerts -- ONLY after you have completed step #3.
Please pay attention to the detailed settings including notification display options and sounds. We also recommend you to enable the encryption option "Notification transport encryption" in the Pushover application control panel.
Further notes:
- This push alert system is meant to fill a gap that once was supported by Tapatalk.
- Tapatalk will be disabled fully on Friday, June 10th.
- It is *NOT* required to use this application (Pushover) it's merely an option to provide push alerts to member's device that enjoy having the alerts.
- Email alerts and other live updates via your browser will still function normally.
- Criteria for getting a sponsored (free) license for Pushover will be announced prior to the available date as noted above.
