Greetings to all valued members and guests!

Today, I would like to make a brief announcement about changes happening at the Tokyo Adult Guide as a result of a number of issues that have occurred during this month. In the entire history of TAG, I have never had to deal with such a barrage of attacks from both outsiders and former members who consistently and willingly disregard warnings about their behavior.

This is not the time or place to rehash the previous events, we have moved on. However, because of the recent issues, we are forced to change our stance on a number of items. Please review the content below, this is just a brief summary, for now.

1) Advertising

We built TAG on the back of clean, honest reviews while also providing a venue for escorts and select agencies to advertise their services here. We previously had a voluntary paid ad system along with supporting free ads for visiting and local independent escorts. Agency ads have always been a paid version, but we've kindly suggested some trusted agencies to members.

Effective October 1, 2017 - We will no longer support or offer free advertising. All current free ads will be removed and only those who have paid will be able to keep their ads in place. Administrative messages have been delivered to those who are affected as of 9/24/2017. We deeply apologize to those who are affected by this and we hope that you will choose to stay with us and support the site.

ALL parties interested in our advertising platform, need to contact us via our support desk: helpdesk@tokyoadultguide.com - We will now have a native Japanese staff member assisting with some clients that require Japanese in order to ease the process. (Effective October 1, 2017)

2) General Content Rule Overhaul

In the past years, we have been fairly lax in making members follow a strict set of rules. For the most part, people are respectful and willing to lend a hand. However, once again, we have seen attacks lobbed at both TAG administration and its members for various reasons. Most of them, a complete waste of time and energy. On October 1, 2017 - a new set of site guidelines, member conduct, and general standard operating procedures will be released that will apply to all aspects of TAG. Those of you that have been loyal, upstanding members over the years will not see any change in daily administration. Those who come to TAG with ill intentions will be met with a fierce administration blowback. We have tried the 'nice guy' approach, but this just will not work as TAG grows each year.

Admittedly, I will take full responsibility for not enacting this framework much earlier to prevent some of the nonsense we have had to all endure.

3) Privatization

Effective October 1, 2017 - additional content will be made private. I will not get into the details of why this will happen, suffice to say we have a very good reason for bringing more content under a private umbrella. If you are a guest, who does not log in or have an active account, you will notice that there will be less content available to you. Private content that is already private, will not change.

At a later date, members will be able to offer their support to TAG and receive some special recognition or status for their monthly or annual support. Details are being decided, please look forward to the following update on this point. (Estimated Release: November 2017)

Lastly, not all is doom and gloom.

A special thanks go out to all members and business supporters who have reached out to us to offer a word of support or thanks during some of the most trying times in the history of TAG. It is because of this support that gives us the energy to keep the site going and put forth the effort needed to keep it a fun and welcoming environment.

We wish everyone a good week and thank you for your continued support!
