I'll probably post something similar to this when it gets closer to my actual trip and I’ve worked out some of the finer details but I decided to ask the TAG experts early for advice. Covid set me back both physically and financially so I have had to postpone my long awaited trip to Japan. When it finally happens I plan to possibly schedule one or two dates while I'm there for dinner or maybe a tour guide with benefits kinda like a payed fling. I've had similar experiences in other countries where I've met a couple of girls and spent the day or sometimes the weekend with them. First I would like to ask is this kind of arrangement possible in Japan, if so what would be the cost for a few hours a day and how would you go about setting it up if you were in my place. I’ve read a lot of posts on here about setting up interviews etc, but I’m not sure if that would work given that it’s going to be for such a short period of time. Should I treat this as a short term SD arrangement and do my due diligence a few months in advance weeding out the potential time wasters? I’ve considered looking at independent escorts but I don’t know if that will work given I may wish to pursue activities in the daytime that are not on the typical menu. As far as I could work out given that I’m a non Japanese resident my options seem to be limited to SA. As a long time lurker I feel like I know more about some of you guys than some people I’ve known for years so I’m looking forward to the responses.

Might I ask what those activities might be? Because provided it's not dangerous, violent or demeaning, I'm pretty sure most of the indies advertised on this board would be perfectly willing to come along, particularly if the price is right. At the end of the day, everything in life has a price. And from everything you've described, it sounds like an indy provider might be your only--and best--option to go with.
You're not familiar with Japan, assuming you don't speak Japanese and aren't particularly experienced with this scene. You're on vacation. You don't have the time to waste trying out or auditioning SA/SB candidates, and even if you did, why would you want to spend your vacation time and cash on something that isn't guaranteed to be enjoyable? Indy providers on this board are well-reviewed, might even chime in here to answer your questions and will be far more trustworthy and reliable than going the scout route.
A few hours, an overnight encounter or perhaps even a full day or two will likely be possible. Just ask and agree on a price. Everything has a price. BTW, for $25k/night, I'll wear a wig and schoolgirl uniform and you can slap the shit out of me and pull an R. Kelly if it tickles your fancy. Any sort of penetration is negotiable but will require a deposit, negative STI test results, 50% price increase and you're required to wear a MAGA hat and supply the Ketel One and bath salts.

Thanks for the response, The activities I had in mind are nothing like that, it would probably be more along the lines of sightseeing or possibly a day trip etc. The reason I hadn't really given much thought to indies is probably because I live in New York where getting an escort to smile at you costs $1000 and even then the effort they give is easily seen through. I just got a little jaded with them, also though it's a minor issue on my end and a potentially huge issue for them, I'm a shitty photographer that sometimes gets paid for my work so I was worried about making them feel uncomfortable given I know that privacy is such a huge deal. I think you're right though I would probably have to speak with an indie and work out terms of the arrangement etc.
