Sad to hear that... always wondering what kind of story is behind such acts . Bali An is a great LH though , hope it won’t affect their business too much

Yeah last time I went there was a day before a holiday and most of the rooms were booked for overnight stay.
I thought it was not worth to wait for a vacancy so decided to go somewhere else. Maybe I should have waited if I knew this was going to happen.

That's very sad :( I wish seeking help for mental healthcare was normalized and not shamed by the old generation in Japan, so that we would see less of these murder-suicide cases. It sounds like these two young people met on a suicide website and agreed to take each other's lives. I can't help but think what would have happened if they went to therapy instead.

It was my speculation first, as suicide websites seem to be the starting point of this type of occasions in Japan, but now there is this report:

“Apparent murder-suicide”.

It could also be a case of the woman preying on a young man expressing suicidal thoughts online, and justifying the murder somehow, as such cases are not that uncommon.

I guess the course of events are still not confirmed, but my point was even if one these people got mental help before things escalated both would be alive now. I hope they found peace.

Yeah. That’s basically a translation of the original Japanese.
As I said, I agree with you on mental health issues in Japan.
But I just don’t think speculating on these sort of things is right .

The way the world seems to work now is that a person speculates, someone gets half the message and quotes it as fact and before you know it the truth gets all stuffed up.

I read your post and thought at first you had found another source of info.

Maybe me reading it wrong. I’m not the smartest goose in the gaggle.

i agree. There is nothing in the article saying they met online nor how they knew each other

Maybe we will hear more, but, maybe we won't.

Maybe not even a host, but a regular delivery health worker (males) for female clientele.
It's a fairly huge segment with drama more fierce that female workers for males.

Who knows.

It's best not to speculate on any points until more info is officially released, if they choose to do so.

Actually, I have to admit I’m super cautious of people carrying in a suspiciously large luggage since that 20 year old (?) medical student took the life of a poor DH girl :( I can’t remember the details correctly now, but that incident hit me on a personal level.

Sorry if I sounded tone deaf or insensitive, that wasn’t intentional at all but I cannot help being curious about the motives behind such murders. I think I‘ve done a good job at protecting myself so far but I’m always looking forward to learn more about the psychology behind a tragedy like this to further fortify my screening.

I can’t seem to find any mention of Bali an in the Yahoo news report. Was the report changed? Also did Bali an actually inform about this unfortunate incident in their website?

No official news reveal where exactly the location was for a privacy reason.
But if you know the area, you can easily find which hotel it is, even they put mosaic on the name and exterior. There are many nosy people on twitter, too.

Given that I banged a girl in the same room that the Thai DH girl in Uguisudani got murdered in a couple years back, I don't think I'm particular about such things.

Pretty terrible! Always creepy when something like this happens at a place you happen to frequent on a semi-regular basis.

The last time I was there with my s/o we ran into a really old lady (maybe the owner of some sort of club). She told us we were both so beautiful and she was so jealous that we were so young and she was almost crying. It was a strange experience. I doubt my s/o would want to go back there again after this...
 
I think it weighs on us because it’s where we go for our discreet arrangements. In reality, this happens everywhere. A crossing you drive through, a road you walk on, a convenience store or gas station we use. A building I lived in years ago, a man was living with his mother. He stabbed her to death and the maintenance crew found him in the stairwell all bloody at 7am. Average apartment went for $3.5m usd. These things happen everywhere. Appreciate life, but protect yourselves.
