Black Friday or sales?

Only been living in Japan 6 months but Christmas is coming up so was wondering if any of you guys and gals that have been living here longer know if there is any “Black Friday” or “cyber Monday” sales going up? Would be nice for some discount for Christmas presents.

It varies from place to place, it's not nearly as wild here compared to what you see in the U.S. (for example).
There will be some sales, but are they great deals? Not always.

Yeah I thought it wouldn’t be as big as the states, UK has gotten bigger in recent years. Wanted to just pick up some electronics maybe. Thanks for the reply! Will go and look around.
