JLPT is terrible measuring stick anyway. I've met people who passed N1 who can't even watch TV because they don't understand Japanese outside of a textbook.

1-kyuu is partly an "are you chinese" test - its so kanji focused that 1-kyuu passers sometimes couldn't pass the more general 2-kyuu.

I read JP reviews of this place and they said all the pics are fake and they sends people completely different girls. Bait and switch at its finest.

Some blog I once read compared the levels like N3 and N2 being your usual, 'What were the people talking about in the dialogue' style questions with varying complexity. N1 was a hugely technical discussion on politics and economics but the question was 'Which of these women is pregnant?'
